Psp reviews forgotten?

There was a thread in here earlier when some dude was complaining about GameSpot "forgetting" about the psp and I didnt pay much attention to it then, but now that I think about it may actually be true. Ive been waiting for a review on the new StarOcean game since the 21st and nothing.. The same thing happened with ValhalaKnights2, it took years for them to publish a review =/
And to top all that: all the "new" (some not that new) psp games didnt get reviewed yet.. I am beginning to think that GS isnt giving the psp the same attention as the other consoles. Whats goin on? =/Tom_delonge555

I agree with you, If this situation continues some people will change soon.

PSP has few releases, and Gamespot review it weeks even months after the release. :(

and the reviews are not too good, If you see the review of Valhalla Knights 2, you think "Men, it´s a crap of game" 3.5! isn´t a good review for a complete game like VK2, I´m not saying that VK2 deserves a 9, but a 7 or 8; Just a deserved score

I really don´t know what to think, seriusly, i agree with you guys 100%, GS has something with the psp, they don´t take the time it desserves, if you want to see the features of the upcoming games that will be launch to all consoles including psp you see the pics, the comments and even the gameplay videos of the 360 or PS3 consoles, then you buy the game and SURPRISE!!!! the game is sooooooo diferent, i´m not saying "they are bad games" personaly i liked Spiderman Web of shadows but the people who doesn´t know much of games can get confused.

so i belive GS should pay more attention to the psp site, i think it would be fair.

This topic deserves more opinions.

I think most reviews lately have been a little screwed up because of the site changes and improvements, which take a lot of time to do. So when a game comes out, they just might not have the time to play it, review it, and post it in the 1-3 day timespan so many people expect. Now I'm not saying that I don't think they can maybe have the reviews in sooner, but things happen.

And for the PSP reviews, again, I think that they are already occupied with the site and trying to do all the reviews, so when they have a choice between reviewing a PSP game or a PS3/360 game, which do you think they'd choose?

If you see the design of gamespot, all the systems have the same importance... if they will give more importance to the consoles than the handheld, they must remove somethings in the buttons or put the handhelds in a sub-something and all the community will understand. >_

I'm not sure what your saying. I think your saying that if they give a little more attention to the consoles, they'd have to get rid of the PSP and DS buttons? Why? I guess I worded my comment wrong, but what I was saying is that GS generally reviews the major console games before going to review the handheld ones. Sorry if it sounded like I though GS favored the consoles alot more than the handhelds, which I know is not true, just that major console games get reviews faster than handhelds.

I guess what Franconomicon meant is that since they give less attention to the handhelds their buttons shouldnt be the same size or placed at the same spot as the buttons that belong to the major consoles or smthing like that. I guess thats somewhat close to what he meant. Im not sure if GS really does give more attention to the big consoles, but I disagree that if they had to choose they should choose the big consoles. I own a PS2, PS3, Xbox360, and a PSP so as you can see I should be allbigconsoles but just b/c more ppl own big consoles than HH that doesnt mean that they are more important. Its true that the xb360 games get their reviews faster than the PS3 games which get their reviews faster than the PSP games. So, can you guys see whats going on here? its basically video game racism, lol. Yeah its funny, but its also sad that GS gives more attention to some consoles than it does to others =/

I wouldn't be surprised if they let the guy go who was doing PSP reviews because of the lack of quality games. Maybe they'll hire a temp when they get enough games.. maybe every six months. Haha Sins-of-Mosin

The HotSpot doesn't review games though. ANd yes I do have proof, Fallout 3 for example.

I agree. PSP only releases a few games per month, why can't GameSpot use up such little time to review these games? They review DS's shovelware (Naming the bad ones) and how come they can't review the PSP's whole lineup coming up??

I agree with you, We like the PSP and are trying to figure out whatever issues GS is having. The PSP gets few games, not low-quality though like some ppl said, and even with few games GS leaves it on the side. So, like some guys here, I'll also change my psp source, b/c GS clearly proved that its not worthy of our attention on that matter anymore. If we came to them for help about games a long time ago and are still here is bcause we trusted them, but now clearly that trust has died. I feel really bad to be saying this bc I honestly love GS. And if they are short on ppl they could always hire me =).

Anyways, Its trully a shame that it had to come down to this =/

Anyways, mostly what PSP releases, are mostly good games. IMO (Shouldn't really be an opinion) the PSP NEVER has shovelware. Thats 1 reason why PSP gets few releases for games, I kind of like that, instead of throwing out all these crap games into the markets...
