it depends what kind of warranty it is. there is limited warranty which usually only covers internal errors in the machine.. like if it starts to flash or something

and there is full coverage..like if say you cracked the screen on accident or you dropped it and it broke.

I got my psp at best buy and the guy told me to get the warranty in case the screen cracks or something happens to it..being a portable device and all.

that is what he told me so if it ever happens...*god forbid* and i take it and they say the warranty doesn't cover that i am going to sue them.

ha..or at least try...but yeah check your receipt and see what it covers.

thats why i bought the extra warranty for $30 at Gamecrazy. if anything breaks on the psp, they say i just trade it in the store. I wont have to mail it to sony or whatever. i figure the $30 is cheaper than how mad id be if my psp got lost in the mail or something.

edit was to fix my bad typing ha ha.

There's psp slim screen's on eBay (UK). Or if you wanna import yours from Hong Kong it comes with the tools. Check properly before you buy.

There are plenty of them on Ebay, just type in "PSP Slim Screen" or "PSP Slim LCD." The catch is that the cheapest you'll find one for is around $70...on Ebay or any site. You're better off spending $90 and let Sony fix it for you, or just buy a new PSP.

It depends on what kind of crack do you have

If its just the outer plastic layer, you can replace it cheaply (like what happen to mine)

If its the LCD that is crack, then the cost would be a lot more

Seeing that you are still on warranty, best is to check with Sony first. Wouldn't want to accidently 'void' it.

It depends on the type of warranty.

Did you pay for an extra warranty or is it the one that came with the psp?
