I think DS is outselling PSP by almost 5-1 worldwide. I'm not sure that PSP will even come close to 70 million units...The next iteration is something I am interested to see though. It had better have full backward compatibility though (points to PS3 with angry face)LProjektST
You're way off mate, the DS is outselling the PSP 2-1, not almost 5-1:
Worldwide DS sales- 50 million (approx.).
Worldwide PSP sales- 25 million (approx.).
5-1 might be in Japan. But overall psp is doing really well and still selling. PSP has been the top selling item for 2 weeks now in Japan. Out selling everything including NDS. joeychew
But i guess thats only by a few thousand? I haven't seen any charts and i'm only guessing

I read they had sold 300,000 in a few days or week or so. Outselling the DS by a factor of I thought I read about 10, but that could be off. Don't discount the PSP yet. It is now starting to get legs.It will never catch up with the DS ... because its allready a 2-1 race ... that doesnt means that the PSP cant be a successfull competitor . I see it selling ~ 70 million units its lifetime , while the PS2 will probably do 130 million . Still , this is the best handheld IMO , and prooves that there is more to handheld gaming than 2D sprites :)Pastehunter
I know eh? I like how both the DS and PSP can render in 3D. It's an amazing world we live in isn't it?
PSP is actually selling out more than PS2, and I guess you can say its selling as much as the PS2 was few months ago, this is of course due to many events such as the release of several incredible games and the release of the Slim ver.
I dont see the PSP reaching 70 million, probably more like around 40-50 million before the end of its lifetime, for the DS, I see about 60 million.
