Hi,

I recently purchased a slim PSP and am wondering if the old PSPs used a different battery, or if they are the same. Also, has anyone been able to find a good case specifically designed for the slim version? Thanks!

never mind, just found the answer to the battery question...anyone know of a good case?

In case anyone's interested about the battery:

To make the PSP slimmer, the capacity of the battery was reduced by about 1/3. Due to more efficient power usage, the runtime of the PSP is still the same as the older model. Older model batteries will still work with the PSP Slim & Lite which extends the amount of playing time on the PSP Slim & Lite. However, the battery cover on the newer model does not fit over the older battery due to its bulkier size.

The Logitech Playgear Pocket was one of the best, if not the best, case for the original PSP... and the Slim fits in it pretty nicely. I was pleasantly surprised that my old Playgear Pocket worked as well as it did. The Slim is a little bit loose but hardly enough to worry about and you can still play it while it's in the case and reach all the important things like the place to plug it in with the case closed.

I have Sony's PSP Pouch and it's perfect for what I need, which is something to stick it in so the screen doesn't get damaged when I take it places. I like having the wrist strap too.

I think it's for the old PSP but the slim fits in it just fine.
