No, the cable for the tv isn't included. You need to buy it seperately. You can you the PHAT battery.

The olderbattery should work. But you'll need to find a battery cover for the slim.... to hold it in place. There was an article on gamespot about it.... somewhere. A sony kit where the battery and cover was sold together..... But I'm sure there are plenty 3rd party covers out there, as well.

It's alot lighter. It loads games faster. The screen is (slightly) improved. It can charge via USB. You can hook it up to your tv.

If you use composite cables (yellow/white/red), you can play UMD movies, memory stick movies, music, and photos on your tv.

If you use component cables (green/blue/red/white/red), you can do all that, plus play games on your HDTV.

Yes, the original battery does work, and it gets better battery life than the slim battery. However the battery cover does not fit over it. The slim battery does not work on the Model One PSP.
