PSP SLIM help

Hi okay so today is christmas merry christmas to all and I got a psp slim daxter set so im good to go. Anyways I have the cord that goes from your psp to the computer so how do I put in music and stuff? The cord should work its from my mp3 player and its not specifically designed for it. Also could you give me links or websites that give free music for the psp. thanks a bunch.

EDIT:Oh yeah also can I buy MGS portable ops plus w/o having to buy MGS portable ops because my friend said you have to have both because MGSPOPis just an expansion not the game?

To put music on the psp you must copy whatever MP3s or WMAs you want, and paste them on the memory stick. But they must go into a particular folder. You can either format the memory stick using the psp (this will delete everything on the memory stick) and this will create all the folders you need, or you can create the music folder in the psp folder on your memory stick.
