Feel free to share your opinions here regarding the new psp's construction and materials... I think the new psp is less more complexdue to using all plastic instead of the original psp's design?:question:cipher_zero
Well I haven't a clue what you said at all. But my views on the new PSP is good I its really light and the design is better especially the relocation of the WLAN switch which broke on mine from leaning and sweating on it the only issues I have with it is the UMD reciever is flimsy and the plastic its made of doesn't feel strong at all but I'm sure it'll hold up to hardcore gaming for a while.
The Good: 1. Lighter, 2. Brighter, 3. Smaller, 4. Loads faster (on one of my games at least = BURNOUT LEGENDS) 5. TV Outs! 6.WiFi thingamabob new location is good/directional pad feelssolid
The Bad: 1. The UMD tray feels/looks cheap(OMG I nearly broke it!) 2.Still ONE analog shtick 3. The price(should have been less expensive)
Now I'm using the slim to play all my games and da fat one to run err.. other stuff..
it more compex than the original, not only does the slim include all the features found in the original it improves upon them, better screen, better controls, and since it's lighter and more rounded it's better to hold for longer periods of time. Sony Also doubled the internal memory from 32mb (PSP 1000) to 64mb (PSP 2000) which has a slight improvement on games already out ..... but who know what benefit future game will have ( there's a rumor that Crisis Core loads faster on the slim), also the web browser is faster.
Why are people alway scared of change when it's an improvement it should be welcomed. The removal of the spring loader for the umds making the tray seem cheap to some. I rather enjoy the ease of just dropping a games into the system. The loss of the IR port isn't a big issue unless you're a hb user and use your psp as a remote. It suck that I have to get another remote since the old one doesnt work, and the video out cables should of been included with the system, but you know Sony and cables
As with any piece of technology handly it with care and it'll be fine.
