ps2, psp is pretty much just the ps2 shrunken to fit in your pocket, but it only sounds good in theory. the battery life is pretty pathetic expecially if you wanna play online, the game selection isnt that great, most of the games are just dumbed down ps2 ports, the thing is ****in fragile, it scratches too easily, and it costs more.

Honestly, I haven't touched my PSP since I finished Crisis Core the second time. I've been playing my PS2 and SNES constantly lately. PS2 has more, better games. There are only two reasons why I would get a PSP over a PS2.

1. PSP is portable(DUH).

2. I can't mention the other reason - Stupid forum rules.

so what? its too clunky and fragile, youll have to end up carrying (and buying) a lot of accessories if you want touse it to its fullest. a ps2 is a ps2, you only need a memory card and games to really use it.

and it has some great graphics Internet capabilities

its graphics are great for a handheld, yes. but what does this mean? it means its grpahics dont suck as bad as the crappy crappy crap that is the ds. (please dont flame/report, im just making a comparison)

and the internet is a complete joke, its justa gimmick like the wiis "motion sensing" which i havent really seen implemented well yet.

and battery life last like 5 or 4:45 hours O_O

after a month the battery starts losing charge and that becomes 3... which quickly becomes 2... and now my 2 yr old psp battery only lasts 1 hour. ds has way better battery life.also going online cuts battery life in half.

i think psp is the best if you want to have portability ..

my opinion is that the ds is better because is smaller and isnt as fragile and is cheaper but youll have to deal with crappy graphics and also there are quite a lot of crap games for it.

i guess that would happen if you wrapped it in a towel, put it in an oven, and played it for 12 hours straight, but from my experience, that only happens if you play it too long or if you dont give it room to breathe.

I say get the PS2. You'll only get ported/short term/sequels/prequels games and others on the PSP. Sure, let's say the PSP is a really beautiful gaming handheld and you can watch movies, listen to music and view your photos and other stuff. But good games are rare and good ones only come once in a while. To tell you the truth, I don't even use my PSP for playing PSP games anymore. I just get stuff from the PS Store and play old school games from the PS1 era as they are a lot better.

As for the PS2, it has the largest gaming library as of now and with great games. New games are not completely halted just because the PS3 is there. There are still some developers releasing stuff for the PS2 and while we're at it, great games.

I have the PSP Slim and PS2 Slim and they're both fine. The PS2 slim never overheated on me even though I use it for 5 hours straight or maybe more. Same with the PSP Slim. If you have money to burn, just buy both.

well I really like the naruto games:Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3(PS2) & naruto ultimate ninja heroes 2(PSP) so which system should I pick based on those 2 games.Because I get bored over these games easy but there still fun if you have another game to play instead of playing those all the time.If I pick the PSP then I will be able 2 have God of War and SuperBad(movie) to keep me from getting to bored of the naruto game.

im not suggesting anything BUT, i heard if you do certain things with a psp (against forum rules) then it becomes very fun and worthwhile..

id get psp..

personal,

if i were you, i'd buy psp because it is just new and has lots of potential, then i'd buy ps3, it can play ps2 game

I would say the PSP for a couple of reasons.

PSP is still devolping games( i know not much but it is still current gen)

PSP is portable

Unless you really want to play old classic gasmes i would say the PSP.

seriously? get a psp... people would laugh at you if you still play ps2 when ther'es ps3 already.. plus u can link your psp with your ps3.. but just ask yourself.. its still worth getting the ps2 if you havent played the greatest games in it... but psp is still great coz you can do alot of things with it, legally or ilegally speaking...

You dont have a PS2? Everyone has a PS2.
