PSP Slim Rainbow effect

dose anyone else get sort of a rainbow oil like area on their screen when the tilt the psp it kinda looks as though the LCD screen is bent a little but its not.

no, but it could be because ur screen is a bit old / its kinda loose at the wires, or just loose completly / or the screen is to tight, im not sure though

no, but it could be because ur screen is a bit old / its kinda loose at the wires, or just loose completly / or the screen is to tight, im not sure thoughSGT4EVA

no, is not like the lcd screen is broken or something like that. I've seen this on mine is on the faceplat, when you tilt your psp on sunlight you can se a oily rainbow area around the edges of the screen. Also you can see it with sunglasses, it looks like it is where the screen got attatched to the faceplate with a black area on the edges. First time I saw it I was wearing sunglasses and thought that my psp had got burned by sunlightf but then I took them off and it was fine as always

That's a pretty weird thing though

thanks for the reply i thought that my PSP screen was already damaged when i had barley taken it out of the box.

oh by the way mine i only at the bottom and extends to about the middle.

i have seen that too, i dropped it and only noticed it afterwards. thought i broke it. i have never looked at it with sunglasses. it's nice to know i didn't hurt it.

I see it to you sorta tilt the screen in the sun. Although it might only happen when the screen has a complete white screen.

Does anyone notice that it distorts the edge of the display a bit? As if there's a 3D effect on the edges. Mine is on the left edge only. Poor manufacturing from Sony, I must say. I prefered the one-piece faceplate of my PSP phat.
