I am thinking about buying a PSP slim but it seems that the PSP doesn't have that good of a game libary compared to the DS and I don't see too many games coming out for the PSP in the future. It seems like the DS is the better option because it has many more games and is cheaper. However, I am a hardcore gamer and I would probably like the games the PSP has more because they are more tailored for a hardcore gamer like myself. I am not sure what system to get. I don't do a lot of traveling so I think the DS would be good in that sense. I mean, the games are more tailored for casual gamers but since I don't travel that much and would only play my handheld while traveling the DS seems like it could work out for me. I would also probably play my handheld if I had to wait at doctor's office or something. Also, IGN recently released an article in most several reporters didn't think the PSP was doing that well and thought that it should be doing alot better at this point in its life span, so that discouraged me. I do like that the PSP can play movies but I could alwasy just get portable media player like Zune or Meizu to watch videos and buy a DS for games. I am not trying to put down the PSP here, I just am trying to figure out what to get.

What does everyone think?

first of, the (other handheld) to me is for sissy games, all there games are little 3d japanese people that walk around and talk all the time. PSP games are full screen and big. They have good games and not freaky japan games like the war ends with you that has frog fettishes. The psp is also better then a Zune, it holds ton of songs and movies if you have a memory card, and it has the internet, it looks cooler and its the best handheld, get the psp slim daxter bundle

PSP is well worth the money. Wait for E3 and see what games will be coming out. There is a excellent library of games now, it all depends what you like to play.

Absolutely its worth it! I had all the gameboys ever released and play my PSP more than all of the gameboys put together. You'll find plenty of games to catch your intrest.

just picked up a psp slim to replace a broken phat psp, and its well worth the money. the tv out feature is huge - watching movies from the psp on the tv is great if converted properly.

game library as well is better - as other people said maybe not as many games but quality games. you won't be disappointed with the slim....

The World Ends With You

Not The War Ends With You

I have both the PSP and the DS Lite. Get the DS if you want games only. Get the PSP if you want more. However, I recommend that you wait for E3, so that you can see what games are coming out for the PSP.
