Hello all.

I am new to the forums and I am guessing that this topic has been discussed but I wanted some opinions on which is "better".

I have a DS Lite and IF I were to get a PSP I would be trading in the DS to get credit. I also a Video Ipod so my other question would be: Is it worth getting a PSP also? Does anyone have both PSP and Video Ipod?

Thanks in advance.

this belongs in system wars. but to answer your question, do you think the number of games you'd enjoy on the psp is worth the investment?

I have both and I wouldn't sell my PSP to get a DS, and I wouldn't sell my DS to get a PSP. I also have a video ipod that I barely use, so what you want might be different because I'll be selling my video ipod soon. And if I had a video ipod and didn't have a PSP and wanted one, I would sell my video Ipod to get a PSP and I would keep the DS. Both have great games and its hard to pick one over the other. You just have to look at the catalog of games and see which one has more games that you'd enjoy. The psp can also do video and music of course, but an ipod is a lot more portable than a PSP so keep that in mind when making your decision.

Hello Roi. First, your picture is awesome....that is great episode of Simpsons!!!

Well, Iam not sure of any games that make the PSP worth getting. Pursuit Force looks very fun along with the Dax game. The metal gear I read is supposed to be very good. Plus with God of War coming out in March, looks very tempting.

So Iam looking for opinions/suggestions from seasoned PSP owners. Any feedback is appreciated!

depends on what kinds of games u play i guess. and ya, move it to system wars. if u play rpgs, psp has some good ones that i've looked up (I still need to get). there's also action n shooter games n all that obviously. ds maybe lacking in rpgs imo except for square-enix related games, which is mostly why i got a ds lite last yr. that should answer the question too.

Thanks for thepoint of view Happy. I do like how the Ipod is very portable and was thinking that even though the PSP is also portable, you need to carry around the UMD and memory stick(s). I do like the flexibility of the PSP as apposed to the DS. But the DS does have some great games also. Decisions, decisions... :)

Well this is not the place for threads like these (Try system wars), nor can you expect to get entirely unbiased opinions here on the PSP boards.

But my question for you is simple. What kind of games do you like?

Overall, I dont see no point in getting a PSP since you have a DS and a Ipod (Unless you need a slowportable web browser) but if your taste in games is more action oriented (Shooters, racing, sports etc.) PSP might offer a better selection of games than the DS. On the otherhand, the DS offers something original that you cant find elsewhere. Overall people do think PSPhas moremature games, since Mario and Co. have created an kiddy image for Nintendo. But dont forget that even "kiddy" can be fun.

I have said this a thousand times but I consider PSP as the jack of all tradesbut master of none. The thing is, you already have two devices that the general public considers to be the "masters". The DS and the Ipod. This is not my personal opinion of course.. I prefer the PSP over the DSbecause I need a multimedia device that can have my movies, ebooks, music, pictures, games and etc etc. I also prefer Creative over Ipod but let's not get into that

Thanks J-Link. That makes alot of sense.

I appologize for putting this topic here. I am new to the forums...my bad.

I do like all types of games and do have several console systems so....not sure how much play the PSP would get. I do love my Ipod as I have 13 movies on it and music galore. I guess I need to see if I would I would utilize the PSP to its full extent.

Thanks again.

Regardless of whether or not you're new, you should still check for topicality before posting.
