PSP vs PS2??

need ur comments on which one is better.i like ps2 my self.

You know, every time I try to get on the train with my LCD TV, surround sound speakers and PS2... For some reason I get weird looks...

psp has (potentially) the same power as ps2, and its a hand held, so it gets 1 point.

It has large, cheap memory sticks, on which movies and music and stuff can be put, so it gets another point.

Ps2 can be used on a big tv, so it gets a point (since psp got one for being hand held. Also soon psp will get this point to too but ps2 can have it for now).

Ps2 has a huge library of very good or better games. Psp has sweet F.A, theres a few good ports/remakes but nothing special. So ps2 gets a point.

I cant think of any other good points. Its a tie!

Personally, it's a tie.

PS2 has shown that it has certainly "evolved" over the years with its wide variety of games. However, the PSP has a lot of cool features with it that, while some are also on the PS2, it is more well known with the PSP.

If you want my opinon the PSP is better because you can listen to Music, watch videos, look at your photos, and go on the internet all on 1 portable device.

In gaming, the PS2 pwns the PSP for sure, R/L2 and the second analog stick makes the PS2 better, also the PS2 is graphically superior, although I'll take that back when a PSP game have better graphics than Shadow of the Colossus.

On the other hand, the PSP is way better than the PS2 in other places than home.

Seriously though, it's not very fair to try to compare any console to the PS2 at this point.

If you ask me, the PS2 is the best console ever, followed by the PS1. And considering the PS2 can play PS1 games, it deserves even more points.

I'm not a Sony fanboy by any means, but I just think both systems had the most varied and high quality collections of games out of any console I've ever owned (and in recent years, I've owned all the competition's consoles as well).

The PSP is a high-quality portable device, and definitely the first to actually contend with Nintendo's reign over the market. I don't think it's the best thing ever. but I still like it a whole lot. But no, I don't think it even comes close to what the PS2 has to offer.
