Hi, i have had my psp for about a year now and everything was working fine. But today i went to go turn it on and the power light comes on and i can see the screen backlight and thats it. Is stays like that for about 30 seconds and then turns off. I thought the battery was dead....so i go home to charge it and the power light turns orange for about 1 second and then turns off. Does anyone know whats wrong?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i think the battery is dead completely and u need to buy a new one or u bricked ur system which means that u turned it off when u were installng the firm ware. It is probably the battery in which case u need to buy a new one

I wasnt running homebrew. And I downloaded the newest firmware without any problems. Do you think it could really be the battery? Do you know how to see if its the psp or just the battery?

don't get a new battery yet, go to an EB store or somewhere that sell PSPs ( or a friend that ahs a PSP ) and ask them nicely to use the battery out of their demo unit, if the PSP works then buy a battery if not call Sony,

Good Luck!!!:D

If its just that the battery has gone dead, they won't do anything. Try to find a borrow from somebody and see if its just a problem with your battery.
