I just resently purchased one. I've had it two weeks. And I love it. Downloaded my favorite songs on it and some of my high dollar Baseball Card pics to show the dealer what I have. I love. BTW, I'm a 52 year old kid.

I personally wouldn't drop such a large chunk of change on a handheld. Although, I am really interested in the games the PSP has! I feel that I just get a better deal investing my cash into a console or upgrading my pc. Handhelds are all personal experience however, if you are on the go a lot and have some free time, I think it would be a good investment. Good luck on your decision!

I had was asking myself the same question before I bought mine, so bought it at a store that had no problems with returns if I had buyers remorse. I must admit it is greatness. Remote Play (or whatever it is called) works great with the PS3. I bought the Black PSP, Daxter (used), and 2 GB memory stick for about $200.

Great for games movies and PS3 interaction, but again buy at a place with no restock fee, and if you dont like it then take it back. Also get some used games where most places you can take back within 7 days if you dont like. I have Daxter an Syphen Filter. Paid less than $25 for both games used.

Good luck.

I was using my brothers psp for sometime because i felt that it didnt have any games that would make me buy my own. then Crisis core came out and i felt i had to have it. so i went out and bought one...all i can say is it turned out to be a great buy for me. Now going through the game libary that the psp has i found that there are many good games and its great if ur on the go.

PS:If you dont have any of the next gen consoles i'd suggest u get one of those first.

At $170, the PSP, in my opinion, the best portable multimedia device that you can buy for your money. I was able to get a 4 GB Memory Stick for about $60.

That gives you ample room for games, music, movies, and pictures. The screen is large for a portable device and is very clear. Wireless card is built-in so it is easy to check e-mail at a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

The PSP can do everything well and has a couple of truly spectacular games; God of War, Final Fantasy Tactics, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Tekken, and Crisis Core.

Oh...and if you have a PS3, then Remote Play is AWESOME.

I think the PSP is well worth the money.

It is if you don't have a DS, or if your getting bored with your DS.
I LOVED my DS during the time I had my first PSP, and I sold it without regrets. However good games seemed to quit coming for the DS, I began playing it less and less, then eventually got a PSP Slim and now I only play my DS when my PSPs battery is 100% drained. :P

It's worth it. I've had mine for 2 years or more and I love it. I play it when I go to friends' house, at school and home.

do a little research, see if any of the PSP games appeal to you, see if you like the multimedia features that it has to offer

wasn't so hard was it?

The best multimedia handheld in my opinion. You can play games, music, videos and even surf on it. It's worth $200. But it needs more games. And while we're at it, more good games.

2-3 years ago, I probably would've said no, but the PSP has really grown into it's own. The PSP has a great variety of games, and some ports, like Disgaea or FF Tactics, are better fit for a system like the PSP.
