nope, not going to happen. the Go just came out..........

Plausible at best. I dont doubt sony is working on the psp2 but Im thinking that we're looking at an earyl 2011 release window because I bet there going to make the psp go as the "missing link" between the 3000 and psp2. The go is sort of the middle point because they will eventually go all digital and i think the psp2 will be that flagship model.

As for the specs, im impressed cuz they need to have some serious hardware to compete with apple

I think it'll happen, most people I know haven't picked up a Go, and many have given up the PSP a long time ago. To me the Go just seems like an experiment, to test out the idea of pure digital distribution. The PSP is reaching its 5th birthday and it really is beginning to show it's age. Many like myself are clamoring for an upgrade, trophy support, friends list on the go. Come on Sony, bring the rain!

If they are working ona PSP2I don't see it coming out in 2010.

I hope they stick with physical games, but use cartridges/memcards instead of UMDs. And I want it to have the clamshell design like Gameboy Advance SP and DS. I'm not a fan of the slider.

I hope they keep it the same size as the psp go, add 2 analog sticks, internal memory and umd drive (to have the option of weither you want to copy or download), backwards compatiblity, bluetooth, and better wi-fi

The amount of memory they can fit on little cards like the ms pro duo is insane, compared to UMDs. There would be no reason to use them anymore. They will probably use something similiar to a ms pro duo to store games on.

Yeh I see it happening I mean I brought my psp 3000 like a month before the go came out and sony were like totally denieing it's existince

I only hope for backwards compatibility. Through PSN or otherwise.

Edit: A thought just occurred to me. Who wants to bet the next PSP will be priced at $500? Haha!

Agreed. Everyone complained about how big the PSP was, but my 2000 fits perfectly in my pocket. Oh. And I agree with your other ideas.

I think the PSP2 may come out in 2011-2012 or along with the next gen of consoles. I wonder what storage medium they will use, i hope its not all digital downloads :?

Two analogs is all Im asking for but they will probably go with a touch screen , seeing how well it works on the ipod - you could project any button you need on the screen.The game needs two analogs - it projects two analogs , the game needs a wigally-woo it projects a wigally-woo

I hope it has L1, R1, L2, R2, and to make everyone happy, a second analog nub. I'd also like a touchscreen and hope it comes with a stylus. I hate getting finger oil on screens. I hope it comes in a clamshell design in order to protect the screen when not in use. I really love this on the DS and hope Sony decides to do it, too. It would be nice to have at least 32gb or 64gb of internal storage. Maybe they could have a 32gb version and a 64gb version that sells for slightly more. I'd like for it to have cheap memory cards. And a 5" screen would be really nice as well.

Yeah it's going to happen in 2010. At the least I know they have the technology right now to build a PSP2 that could easily play all ps2 games.

Hmmm...Just when I was about to purchase a Go, too.... I'm hoping for all DD (UMD sucks so much) with internal memory, 2 analogs, roughly same size as GO (It's not that they don't fit in my pants, the psp 3000 just leaves a huge bulge that can be somewhat awkward when running). At the very least hopefully Sony can think of a better physical format then UMD, and keep the original PSP games download only. PS2 backward compatibility would be beautiful. Finally, hopefully we can get the same friend list/xmb system as the PS3, which would make it awesome. Besides the obvious graphics improvement, that's really all I need.Ze_Common_Cold

I just spend $170 on my psp so 2011 release for a newer and hopefully improved psp sounds good to me.
