PSP2 I say in TGS or Gamescom, BC by download.

I think its either coming in Gamescom, since the 3000 came out in Gamescom, (Country-Europe) or TGS. I can bet it will have Backwards compatibility by download only. I think it would a smart move, space could used for the new PSP 2 features. That way because Sony is still supporting the current PSP's, so if you decide to move to a new PSP2, you can play your older games. It would keep both handhelds in the market like Nintendo. Thoughts?

im hoping for a psp2 announcement at TGS ...i dont think it will be at gamescon

I never said I didn't like the thread. There's just no need for yet a whole other thread on the same subject. It's just as annoying when people don't notice that theres at least 4 threads on the exact same thing and about 6 or 7 that involve, or at least, touch the subject of a PSP2 in some way. In any of these threads you could have posted your predictions/opinion.

Either way, I still gave you my thoughts on the subject, didn't I?

I sincerely believe that the future PSP2 is gonna probably be all-digital.

for better or worse..

Idk... can't imagine how Sony can make that taste any less bitter for those who love the discs...

I did give you my thoughts on PSP2....

I said "I really don't think...we need a new iteration of the PSP."

...and I thought I had already made it clear that I don't hate these threads...

Like I said, "It's just as annoying when people don't notice that theres at least 4 threads on the exact same thing and about 6 or 7 that involve, or at least, touch the subject of a PSP2 in some way. In any of these threads you could have posted your predictions/opinion," instead of flooding the topic board and bumping down subjects that at least offered some variety...

Wth is your point? That was exactly what I was trying to imply. That the fact that these threads are flooding the topic board is annoying. I never said I hated talk on the subject, but when people are being redundant and posting the exact same ideas over and over again, it gives more of a reason as to why this topic should stay in one, neat, thread. I never told you or anyone (at least not that I remember) to stop making these threads. I simply said that yet another one was unnecessary.

well lets be honest here if sony doesnt release the psp2 within a year of the 3ds they are dooming themselves in the handheld market again, from what we have seen the 3ds beats the psp in the only department it was ever truly beter at the visuals, sony really need something if they want any shot at the handheld market tbh they would probably be better off pulling out of it i mean nintendo really seem to have that niche covered and this is coming from a guy that owned a psp from launch (lost it though :() and never bought a ds

I expect an announcement at the TGS, not GC simply because the psp has the biggest market in asia and would benefit more if its announced there. It has to be coming out in Japan around late spring or early summer with NA/EU releases around the fall or holiday 2011. And like an above poster says if sony doesnt put something out at least a year within the 3ds then they will be commiting handheld suicide.

I hope that the new ad campaign with marcus will breath some life into what the psp is capable of to the mass consumer. We know that the psp is a great gaming device but most consumers just go with a ds because it is nintendo. If sony can change the mindset of the consumer going into the psp2 then it will greatly benefit the psp successor.

Im getting one but the only thing I really want is 3G support. I hate that I spend most of my time away from home and away from my wireless router when I could be playing infrastructure at school or work while on break.
