-Touch Screen( I am 50/50 with this feature becuse i do believe that the touch screen will only really be used to press some buttons and to type, plus it makes it more expensive).

-2 analog sticks( The main reason why there are few FPS's on the PSP is because of only 1 analog stick, so 100% has to be in the PSP2).

-Better graphics( Every PSP has used the same graphics chip since 2005, it is time for a new one, Rumor has it that the PSP2 will use a quad-core PowerVR chip from Imagination Technologies which will put it between xbox and xbox 360).

-better wifi/browser/flash ( So i can watch youtube and surf the net, ya I have a computer but i also leave my house).

-Better design

-PS2 emulater(I really do not know why so many people want this, if i want to play PS2 games, then I will just turn on my PS20

-Full PSN( Trophies, friends, and messaging).

-A few gimmicks

-Ditch the UMD( I am not saying go digital download for everything, I think Sony learned there lesson from the PSP Go, go with some kind of meomory stick)

-Built in meomory( 32Gb should be good, but also be able to expand it by those memory sticks).

-3D(?)

-more games(like uncharted for psp)

- Put in that cool PS3 theme.

Please for sanity's sake everyone lets stop with the PSP2 threads already. It's bad enough that people want a touchscreen (which is awful for gaming) and more power (any more power and you may as well just get a PS3).

I'm not sure why so many people feel a PSP2 will be announced at E3. I've never heard any convincing/credible information about one, but people have been saying one is coming for the last 2-3 years anyway. With the recent God of War announcement and Peace Walker headed to PSP later this year, PSP1 is still going strong. I just don't see a second analog stick and slightly better graphics as a convincing enough reason to rebuy a system; most anything else could be added through a firmware upgrade.

I know 3DS is around the corner, and so we're inclined to think Sony will release a competitor, but maybe Sony will go in a different direction altogether. Considering how prone Sony is to having announcements leaked early, if a PSP2 were coming, it would have been leaked by now.

I don't think Sony needs to really make a new PSP unless the 3DS is a powerhouse. The PSP is the best looking handheld so I think the regular DS is playing catch-up.

Well if it is expected to be announced at E3 2010, here is my DEMANDS(Wishlist)

1. Size of the PSP 2-3000- I mean if those couldnt fit ur pocket than ur pants are to small and tight. What i find funny is that the same people who said the PSP slims are too big but praise DSi XL huge size.

2. Controls- no question the official PSP2 will have a right stick but what about R2/L2 buttons. Hell motion controls will make more sense on a handheld. Think loco roco. Also the one thing the Go got right was the analog stick is more DS like but to bad the PSGo design is horrible.(and i got small hands)

3. BC- I think PSN games is a given, but my orginal PSP games should play aswell. It should have a memory stick slot aswell for expansion.

4. UMD slot- this will gurantee BC but Sony should increase the capacity and speed of UMD.

5. Internet- Atleast make it like PS3 current browser but a FULL browser will be huge advantage.

6. PSN- Access your freinds, trophy support and messaging i can see that happening, But my question is will it be seprate from the PS3 list or added.

7. Remote Play- This feature is proably underrated but those who like it knows it needs a makeover.

8. Audio- Just how Sony messed this up in the PSP? The sound quality of the PSP is too low. Make the PSP2 a portable Jukebox when im not using headphones. and when im using headphones, the quality should be even better.

9. Video- more codec support.

10. Price- I wont be surpised with a $249.99 or $279-$299.99 considering PSgo was released for $249.99 back in October. That want sit well will buy owners.

They wouldn't be making a new God of War for the PSP and PSP Go if they were announcing a new PSP at E3.... Nuff Said.....

Please. I was about to go "Oh god....not another PSP2 thread!!!" until you beat me to it. And to whoever said that touchscreens are horrible for gaming....you might just try it.

I just bought a psp, the big boss bundle, which I don't even have yet. The announcement wouldn't bother me too much, as long as the launch date is 8 months or after the announcement--though I think sony is going to play a wait and see, in regards to nintendos display. But what I'd like from a psp2?

--NO umd drive. I know I just said I bought one, but putting one in there will limit where Sony can go as far as form factor is concerned.

--it will likely be all digital download, but it would be nice if sony used high capacity gamecards. 2/4/8 gig cards.

--BC with digital downloads that would include the psx, ps2, and psp.

--LESS focus on internet related stuff--web browsing/facebook/twiitter/etc. This is a game machine.

an all digital format will flop. retailers didnt want to sell PSgo and thats why its $250. Atleast in PSgo case, retailers still have PSP 3000 to fall back on for game sells. Less focus on internet?, plz, i think thats a given that will be there and it should even though i dont care about faceboox/twitter but it internet is becoming a standard for video game hardware.

the audio quality has to go up yes. but personally i don't see them announcing a new psp, so don't even worry about it. i'd prefer to wait about a year and a half to two
