PSP3000...Beside new LCD screen and mic

Hello..does anyone know what PSP3000 going to offer us beside the newer screen and built in mic?? like 128mb ram or more clearer sound quality...iblizsatan

Nada, GS had a hands-on on it. Nothing new apart from the Mic and the new screen. Oh, I also beleive they noted that the battery would decrease by 20 minutes.

I'm getting one no questions asked, since my screen is so scratched by now, my battery is on it's way out and it's just time for an upgrade. Mine was a Launch PSP.

The 3000 is still slim and light right?

Indeed it is. It's basically the 2000 with a few improvements.

i will wait for the white one to come out, my GF really wants a PSP and she doesnt get hung up on stuff like having the newest model. im just gonna get the 3000 and give her my 2000, we live together so we can just share games :)

the battery issue does suck though

They should've just skipped the PSP -2000 altogether. They should've combined the features of the 2000 and 3000, marketed it as the Slim, and increased the battery life. It would've seemed like a much larger upgrade over the 1000.famicommander

Another unmentioned feature is the tighter security so publishers have a reason to bring something out for the psp.

Because 1000 and 2000 were so stupidly easy to mod the sales suffered alot wich is why there are not any new games coming out while the DS is swimming in fresh content.

Ummm, there's alot more than just screen and mic. They're adding screen and mic improvments, sure, but they're also giving it a faster processor, which is increasing the response time by twice what it is now. Another thing they're doing (at least in the silver ones) is adding a NON GLOSS FINISH so there aren't fingerprints all over the place anymore.

Oh, and battery life isn't decreasing what-so-ever anymore. They fixed that problem. X3

EDIT: And the anti-piracy measures will make more people actually want to develop for it.They've also improved the output to TV/Sound from the PSP 2000. It's ALOT better now.

It IS a good thing. The fact is, the PSP is so easy to mess with, noone bothers making many games for it. OMG NEW GAME /download. It's stupid. Anti-piracy IS good.

well yea, but i mean hardware. like how the slim psp when trying to boot in config mode the screen didn't turn on. that's supposed to fool people... supposed to....

but the newest motherboard is really hard to hack apparently. which means w/e they're using on the new 3000 series will be either the same mobo or completely unhackable

yes..anti-piracy is good..i'm agree... but for those who can't afford to buy the original...it's totally not good... For me,i prefer the original UMD disc,but here the UMD price is too high..Beside,it's so hard to find a good UMD games here...

i bought a psp300 today to replace my 2000 which was stolen:evil:

the screen colours and brightness changes were obvious

other changes noticed so far are auto connect to usb, home button now ps

there is virtualy no ghosting and i cant see the" scan lines" on screen

oh they sorted out the power drain from new display by making rest of psp run more power efficient

apparently if psp3000 can be modded then playstation will phase out their handheld as dirrect result of piracy.

at the end of the day sony make very little profit from hardware sales and rely on software sales but if everyone uses cfw and

homebrew loaders they will go bust simple economics. i ran cfw 3.71 m33 on my slim at one time so i aint no saint but third

party partners arent producing many games for the psp due to poor sales caused by widespread piracy

Actually, Skype is part of the firmware... Think it's firmware 3.something and up.

Its like buying a new computer then finding out 6 months later that they have improved it. FlashCharge
