The PSP has been out for how long since when, 2005 right? Any way its been out for 3 years, I want the new slim one, but i don't want to put the money up for it, if im only going to get 2 more years out of it .how long do you think it has left , 2 years 3 years maybe even 5 to 6 years left? Any new must haves (games)coming out? or already out?

well there isnt even any rumour about a PSP2 so i´d say you have AT LEAST 2 years

THANKS STIKA, for that list on your sig, that list of games almost sold a PSP, i am seriously thinking abotu geting one, but i could get a regular one , and save some money right?? and have money left to get a mem card ,head phones ,and some games , or should i get the slim one withd a game ,UMD,and a 1g card

Yeah, I'm betting we'll see nintendo update their portable platform before Sony does. Especially since if I remember correctly, the DS came out before the PSP. Either way though, neither portable platform will be replaced any time soon. Definitely a few more years I'd say. (There'd better be no surprises tough- for I just got myself a PSP slim!)

well if you remember GBA came out about one year before Gamecube. The DS came out one year before Wii. Sony isn't going to release a new handheld only to be one upped by Nintendo. They will probably release their next gen handhelds close together. This means that the PSP's and the DS's lifespan should end one year before the Wii's. I'm guessing it's got at least three more years.
