PSX Classics -- Quality?

I've heard that PS1 games look absolutely awful on the PS3. I was thinking of downloading some PSX classics from the PSN store. Do the downloaded games also look horrible, or just the actual PS1 discs?

Aren't they the same thing, I'm sure PSX graphics are going to look awful anyway compared to the games this gen.

I cant see some differences between the real PS1 games and the PS1 classics. I bought Driver on the PS Store yesterday... oh damn it sucks XD I want that Crash 2 and 3 will be released on the european store!!:(Danny_217

that game used to be my favourite game on the PS1, i was stuck on the training level for SIX MONTHS!!! LOL

Because it's much more expensive and the PS3 is usually flamed for it's high price.

I thought the 40gb didn't have backwards compat? So you can play PSX games but not PS2?snakehips57

they want people to be able to play ps1 games so they would buy ps1 games on the ps3 store. seems logical to me
