Hello

Ive been debating if i should purchase lair. For one part i hear and seen the reviews for lair and they did bad. On the other hand people that played the game say that its worth a buy and the controls arent that diffucult. So im debating of i should buy it. I havent seen that many people play it might be that its sold out or people havent had time to post there own review cause they are playing the game. I dont want to purchase the game and then regret it. I love the graphics and the gameplay but im concerned about the controls. So if you have any information making my decision will really help thank you.

The best thing for you to do, is rent first. That way you can decide without wasting alot of money. At the most renting it would only cost you like 10 bucks right? And since the games only 6 or 8 hours long, you can beat it and experience all the game has to offer since it's only singleplayer.

Any game can be worthy of renting. No matter how low the score.

If you are a fan of dragons and the like, I guess I'd say yes. Otherwise, I don't think it would be a good buy.

If controls are ur worries, then they shudnt be. i got used to the controls in seconds, literally. im not joking the sixaxis controls are very simple, easy to usend are no hassle. they're are lots of variations of other controls in the game from the different types of moves, buh they will always give u alot of hints at the beginning of the game to keep u on track. i honestlycudnt stop playing this game, but one of the reasons for that is, this game is pretty hard. it seems real easy in the first couple of levels, buh the dificulty ramps up quite a bit in the later levels.

im in the same boat as you. so far the gamers who owns it had no regret. these guys arenot bsing about the games they play.i will wait for a week or so before getting it. need to read up more on the reviews from the gamers. im thinking of trading in two games that i no longer play for lair. those two games combined would cost a total of $100, but nowadays people would pay half price for old games and no way i can ebay and get back $90-100 from it. the most would probably be $70.the ign review really didn't stop me from thinking about buying the game, but it made me feel more like renting it first. $10 rent is alot. $4 would be better.i can use that $10 for purchasing tekken online add-on. what if i end up wanting lair. i'm undecided at this point. i've seen most of lairs videos and gameplay and it doesn't appear to deserve a 4.9 rating from IGN. at least a 7.0 for not having analog stick as an option. 4.9 is a very low blow. now it makes me curious to know if IGN are just being noobs with the controller. They said to play the game and see for yourself on what they are talking about. We'll see.... :).so far alot said the sixaxis is easy to use and is responsive.

I own lair and in fact love it. Controls are so bad in begining but after 30 mins, you nail em. I had little problems with the ground camera and there are so many ways to kill enemies. You can ram into dragons, burn em, go 1v1 upclose, dismount the rider, pick up soldiers/animals with your claws and drop em, eat soldiers, burn soldiers, and claw at soldiers. I've just beaten the first boss battle and i wrote in my other review, that i give it a 9.1, maybe a 8.8 now. Honestly the people who review this game, pick it up for 10 mins and throw it away, which was my first fealings. I said OMG controls suck. Then 2nd level and i was flying like a pro. Trust me this game is a buy and if your still unsure, rent it.

I would wait a few days until this thursdays update, see if we get a demo for it. We should as it's been out for a day or two already, so just try the game's demo, rent it if need be and then you can decide if it warrants a purchase.

i would wait for a PSN demo or try renting it.... seems like some people love the controls, some people hate them.... play for yourself and decide... then if you dont like it, you didn't waste 60 bucks..... Graphically this game looks awesome though.... cant wait for a demo to see what i think of the controls...
