^^ As topic ^^

I bought a few used PS3 games, they all work fine. But some games I got it with fingerprints on the BD. I can't see any scratches thus. What do u think abou buying used PS3 games? For me, they are little cheaper than a brand-new one. But it's used game.

How much were they? Blu ray discs are pretty reliable and scratch resistant. So those finger prints can probably be wiped off. You're good to go.

if its dirt cheap from the original price then yea, why not..but if its just a few dollars off (like $5) then might as well go for the new..

I always go for the used games. As long as they don't look like someone threw it out of a moving car I would be all over it. I'm a starving student, I will save the money wherever I can.

I get cheap pre-owned games. Blu-Ray Disks are virtually scratch resistant, so there's less worries of them being damaged unless someone took a fork to the label. The only PS3 preowned games I have are Folklore and Ratchet And Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, I got them as a Buy 1 get 1 Free offer.

I don't like buying used games. I've done it a few times down the line due to my older brother coaching me to do so but every time it meant planning a second trip back to return it and get the new copy anyways.

Old games are pretty cheap for pre-own. But new games are just 5 bucks less than brand-new.

As far as disc based media goes Blu Ray is the safest route to go because they are so resistant to being scratched.

Pre-owned PS3 games are generally fine. Fingerprints? Just rub them off with a clean cloth. Sorted.

I got Oblivion and Disgaea 3 used, no problems whatsoever. especially with PS3 games, it doesn't make any sense not to buy used.

Hmmm, so thats why the employees always say if it happens to not work you can return it within seven days and get your money back.

The PS3 is the only system that I have ever bought used games for because they will always work because they're scratch proof. PS3 games only freeze or get read errors if the disc is dirty. This was a great move by Sony. So many people say the capacity o fBluray isn't needed, but you get the highest video and audio quality, ultra high capacity, and scratch proof. The Wii and 360 discs don't do all this and you pay the same amount.

I've purchased a greater percentage of my PS3 games in new cellophane than with any other system that I've owned (3 compared to 1 for the 360 and none for original xbox, or gamecube), with the exception of the Nintendo DS (largely thanks to a lower new pricepoint). However, none of those three did I pay a lot for (MGS4 came with the system, Ratchet & Clank from Radio Shack for $15, Unreal Tournament III from Circuit City for $9)... I try to save as much as possible so that a) I can eat and b) I have maybe some extra money for something else fun. Thus I largely buy used... either in-store or via ebay/amazon/half/etc. Even in cases where I absolutely-must-own-a-new-title I'll pay the $55 used (minus Gamestop/EB Games discount) rather than the $60 new. (Though it takes a lot of mental arguing... and usually comes down to realizing I can get some decent food for $5.)

I only own a couple used games on PS3. I'm not totally opposed to it, but i generally just purchase new. The used ones I do own are in impeccable condition though., thanks to blu-ray's amazing durability. DVD's were such a pain...
