Qore gets a 9/10 - My Review

So I decided to get the 24.99 Qore. Was it worth the 24.99? You bet... but here is my review of it.

Content: 8/10 There was alot of content, including a beta movie trailers game trailers interviews etc... even a hidden game. Gives alot of information, has made me want to buy Socom! But I really didn't care much about some of them.

Easy To Use: 10/10 Everything was very easy to use, not much to say but they did really good doing it.

Price: 10/10 Very cheap considering what comes with it. Even comes with a free game that is 10 bucks.

Some other Pros / Cons: Sure there may be a couple of ads (maybe about 3?) But those ads are about MGS4 and some very short ads which you can skip ads. They aren't annoying at all.

Overall: 9/10. I seriously don't see why people are bashing this. If you don't want it don't get it.

Yep I agree with you. It's pretty much an electronic magazine, with playable things. It's still kinda expensive though.

It is nothing fancy but it is kind of like pong but way better graphics. Forgot what it is called but it is addictive.

whats really cool is you can get exclusive access to Betas and free games a magizen can't give you that

Game Informer is not a $400+ initial investment with the promise of Free Network,if I heard of something on qore a little more substantial than trailers, then I would probably be in favor. Trailers should be free, betas should be free.

Exactly. For anyone that has ever bought a game magazine, the content in Qore is pretty awesome. Considering that it's not expensive, it is actually a nice lil package. Probably not for everyone, but it is definitely enjoyable.

There is also free content like demos and themes and such and you don't have to pay to PLAY online so PSN is still free I don't see how Sony is hurting anyone by charging for a online magazine like service it doesn't change the way you use your account Online nor is it mandatory.

9/10? Wow I dont think its that good yet especially with the host. Plus there is only 2 things that you can download and that's the Calling All Cars game that you get for paying for the full year and a SOCOM theme. Not alot of downloadable content if you ask me. The rest is just interviews, photo galleries, and videos which some are pretty cool. Xcaliber26

It does sound cool. Only reason I haven't subscribed is because I already get 2 magazines and it's nice to read from paper too. Perhaps when I find more time or a subscription runs out.

I got the annual subscription and really liked it. I was pleasantly surprised at the inclusion of Calling all Cars, and I can't wait for the release of the SOCOM Beta. I know it's not out yet, but is there any way to know when it is available other then loading up Qore and checking randomly?

My review of Qore

Ease of Use - 9 (at first it's kind of unclear what it even is)

Content - 10 (Great developer videos, Free game, hidden game, Betas, themes, Photo Galleries)

Tilt - 7 (Some non-intrusive ads, It loads sort of slowly when trying to go back and access the main menu)

Overall I agree with Swamp Fox and would also give it a 9/10

Qore is exclusive demos, exclusive footage, and 'goodies', for PS3 games. You could very well say Xbox demos, Xbox footage, and Xbox "goodies" are exclusive... and in fact, they are the same files available on Disk in the Official Xbox Magazine. Xbox users don't pay for that.

If Sony starts filtering all their demos and trailers exclusively into a pay-for service, you're going to tell me that doesn't upset you? Do you really believe you should be paying for demos and trailers?

Xbox users get to happily watch released behind the scenes footage... for free.
