And instead we will have to pay for Qore. Ive explained myself over on Playstation.com after the information on Qore was released and i thought id left everyone over here know whats going on with this new system. Here are just some of mine as well as others responses after hearing about Qore.
"Yes PSN is still getting content, and Qore is getting exclusive content that PSN will not have.
All of that exclusive content would be in the PSN, if there was no Qore. We'll be payin extra for the stuff that we should've got free.
Exclusive content:
"special access to game demos, special beta invitations, game add-ons and other downloadable game-related content."
"as well as the latest Blu-ray Disc trailers, an exclusive SOCOM: Confrontation theme"
So what could of been in PSN that will be in Qore instead include Demos, Add-ons, Themes, Blu-ray trailers, that will never hit PSN. this will mean that you will have to pay just to access this content!"
In response to "diehard fanboy"
"Alright Juuken, heres the thing, What sony is doing with Qore is there taking what would be put into PSN and making us pay for it. They say they have exclusive content, well we would have that for free if they didn't make Qore. Theyre nickle and diming us to the extreme, with a subscriptions and people are buying it. We shouldnt have to pay for a feature that should and was free."
Another persons take on the issue:

If you want to know what's wrong with the PS3 this post says it all.
This should be free. Why? Because right now there is little evidence of Sony being part of a gaming community.
Where is the integration in the XMB and the PSN between players, developers and Sony? You can't even read this blog properly in the PS3 browser because Flash hasn't been updated since it was released.
Sony should be talking directly to the gamers through the PSN. It should be nurturing a community with direct communication. If Major Nelson can be bothered to add a small free podcast to Live for free then why can't we have something at the PSN for free? Free for all users, to get all users involved. There is little sense of Sony caring about community relations outside of this blog.
This was a perfect opportunity for Sony to start directly talking to gamers and making them feel that the PSN was something special. It should have been a free show every week running for about 15 minutes. Letting PS3 users inside the PS3 world, putting faces on the talent involved and allowing gamers to relate to industry gamers. Making a community. Everyone on the 360 knows the name of Major Nelson. The same should be true for the Playstation but it isn't. It just makes Sony seem intentionally aloof and out of touch from the audience.
The information board is useless. It's too slow and by the time the tiny amount of news hits it you already know. It's an impersonal system that's just an RSS reader. Qore will be the same. It will be exclusive for an hour or two then the news will be just as redundant as sites like Kotaku and Joystiq report on it and Qore hits YouTube.
So yes, it will be just like a magazine. Outdated as soon as it's released"
I was told to respond to this many times:
"If you purchase Qore, you will have access to exclusive content that would not be available otherwise - it does not impact the availability of the great content found on PSN, nor does it change our free play model." - amurphy (a PS:B mod)
all thats saying is there is going to be great content still on the PSN like there was, there should be that extra on the PSN anyway though. How happy have you been with the PSNs last 2 updates?
of course theyre going to say that

"nothing can make me excited for this, you want people to pay for advertising? that is the stupidest thing ever. The hole point is to promote PS3 ang PSP games and you want us to pay. And you are going to give beta keys away to the people stupid enough to pay for this. Betas are ment to be free!
well this isnt one of the best ideas sony has ever had.
if it is free then its fine but untill then it sucks"
As you can see this new "e-mag" could end up, and will, make us paying for things that we otherwise would have gotten free have it not been for Qore.
If you read this and are uppset, mad, or have questions please feel to ask.
