You all know that you can force some games that play in 720p to play in 1080p by going to the Display settings and only selecting the 1080p resolution. Now my question is, does this really make a difference in Picture Quality? Ive tested it out on Assassins Creed, Uncharted, and Warhawk. And I really don't think I can tell a difference between the two, although it would be easier if I could have two of the same TVs next to eachother and see that way. Has anyone tried this and noticed a difference?

Nope, but apparently it makes quite a good difference.

It all depends on the size of your TV.

I have a 55" A3000, and I really can't tell a difference.

"forcing" the game to play at a 1080p reselution is nearly imposible considering that the game is formated in the 720p/i or 1080i format. the ps3 might be outputing at 1080p but the info the game is giving is only whatever the box says it is. their are tvs however that have up converters that can boost the reselution from i to p or 720 to 1080. all LG tvs have this they call it an XD engine. but other than that you get what ever the game says it can do.
