Question about inFAMOUS' Trophies/Difficulty Settings

I already beat inFAMOUS once as a Hero and loved it by the way. I don't know if anyone read GamePro's review, but I must disagree with their reviewer, the last boss was NOT that difficult that he had to have a fit while writing the review and slanting it against the game. ANYWAY!!!!!

I'm trying to play the game again as a villain, or Infamous. I'm also trying to get the trophy for completing the game on HARD Difficulty and it clearly states "WITHOUT CHANGING THE DIFFICULTY SETTING." When I go to press "New Game" it takes me to that screen where once you press START, the opening cinematic begins and then you're out in that rubble trying to get away, but the default difficulty is always "Normal". How do I change that? I'd hate to change it once in the beginning to hard, play through it, then not get the trophy because I changed the difficulty in the beginning.

How do I change the difficulty settings before I play through the game?

when i first played, i was playing a mission then suddenly a message came across my screen and said the difficulty has been changed to hard blah blah blah ,the game changed for me since i killed all the enemies very quikly. I blieve it can be done like tht or by pressing start then going to options ay yhe botton it says change difficulty. Cange it as soon as u first take control of cole , or else it will be too late. Funny enough on my first playthrough i played the entire game on hard. It isnt tough to beat on hard at all!

i suggest u switch the difficulty to hard once u take control of cole, beat the game on hard get the trophy, then switch it back to medium or easy. U get more exp on lower difficultys anyway ... for some reason

I started playing today and near the beginning a message popped up saying "Based on your previous mission, we have increased the difficulty to HARD".

So hopefully that doesn't count as changing the difficulty. :?

I wanted to beat the game my second time on hard but forgot to change it until about half way through the first island but that was too late :( guess I'll have to play a third time...kind of annoying since I still couldn't get enough xp to buy all the evil upgrades so I'll have to keep playing that one to gain the xp as well

Yeah, at the very beginnning of the game you gotta change the difficulty to hard mode, I already got the Gold Trophy. :)

Before starting new game AGAIN! change your difficulty to hard.. If you start new game then change your difficulty then the trophy wont pop up even you change it in the very beginning of the game..

ok i beat it on hard and it was the first time to. ok wat u do is from the very beginning after the cut scene, press start and go to options and switch it urself to hard. its ok if u do it like that, but make sure before ur first mission or any mission matter fact u do that. and u should be fine. they allow u to change the difficulty anytime in the beginning of the game just dont change it back after that or touch it cuz u wont get the trophy. im actually stuck on 1 blast shard which i have no idea where the F it is. and 1 stunt which is hard cuz since u clear all the enemies off the islands they dont come out like they do when power was out. my last stunt is use shockwave to throw 3 enemies from the roof. once i do these 2 things i get the last 2 trophies and 'BAM' got the plat. anyways it doesnt matter im going to play through it many times, ill get it one day lol trophy isnt really that big of deal to me, but damn i want to know where the last shard is lolJoKeR_421
