question about my ps3 download speed!!

right so i done a speedtest on my laptop and i get around 4-5 mbps download wirelessly , so i did the same thing on my ps3 , my ps3 is connected to my modem via ethernet and im with tiscali and my line holds in between 8-16 mbps download speeds, so i ran the test and on my ps3 it says " your current bandwidth reading is 19.32 mbps which means i can download at 2.42 mb/sec from tiscali servers, but the reason y i am confused is to why it doesnt say the same thing on my laptop, why does my ps3 have a faster download speed, when i get the same service on both electronic devices ????? many help thanks, this topic is in the ps3 forum becuase it is something to do with the ps3, so if i get modded or warned i dont understand why as its to do with the ps3, thank you modds
