Hey I jave a question! Sometimes my PS3 doesn't read MGS4! I only have that game. I don't think its a problem with the PS3, but im not sure. When I have experienced this the circle in the top right corner isn't there. If the PS3 have trouble reading to my information the circle will just continue to be there untill a disc error comes. With me after about 10 sec it just disapears those times it had happened. Has this happened to anyone else and what could be the explanation? I have a 40 GB PS3!

Most times it's because your Bluray player is about to die. Mine did this 1 week and then died.

Why the heck does people just shovel **** in my face, instead of saying something optimistic. Its kinda like you want people to have problems!

Because it's probably true. He's not being negative, just telling you what happened to his.

As I said the circle in the top right corner is not there meaning it doesn't read, so it must be something else than trouble reading! Come on, someone else mjust have experienced this! Please!!!

you know "ziggy" people would probably help you more if you wernt such a bastard saying that the guys shoveling **** in your face wen hes just trying to helpyou think about it. any way toyour problem the problem is the reader and the ps3. basically they are not agnolijing that you haveput a disc in and so therefore arnt reading the disc. my advice would be to take the ps3 back to where you bought it or to the manufacterers and get them to fix it or give you a new one. -stu-

Sorry about that, I really am, for beingrude that is.Its just frustrating that a PS3 that isn't even a year old and I haven't used it for 7 months(so you can figure out how I used it - Not very much) is having this problem and I can't believe that its breaking down, because the blue bobble isnt there when it happens as in this video:

Could someone come with a serious reply. As I said this have happened like 4-50 times. Otherwise the game has played fine! When it happens, the bubble in the top right corner as shown in the video - (watch is to understand my problem please) isn't there! it just stays in the PS3 menu screen!

This happened to me...and about a week later it stopped reading every game completely. Then you have to send it to sony if you want it fixed.

MY PS3 60GB used to do this exactly some games it would boot to them when i turned it on sometimes i would have to eject disc and re-insert. It's a sign that your DRIVE is failing. My PS3 stopped reading PS3 games, everything else worked fine. So either replace it or send it in to SONY.
