....Is Playstations DVD player region locked? I live in the PAL territories and I just bought some regular DVDs from america so NTSC. I need to know if NTSC dvds could work in my PAL playstation.

I believe it is region locked for all movie formats, except games.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, DVDs are region locked for the PS3. The only region-free thing for the PS3 are PlayStation 3 games. Even Blu-Ray movies aren't 100% region-free.
