Hey everyone,

I am about to purchase a PSP (slim core unit) and a 4 GB card (on sale now for $40 at Staples). I wanted a device that could keep me amused while traveling and the decision was between PSP and a 80GB Zune.

Can anyone give me an idea how much multimedia the 4 GB card might hold. For example, how many 2 hour movies (ripped from DVD), songs (mp3), pictures, downloaded games it might hold.

Lastly, where is a good place to purchase games online (like Every Extend Extra)? -- I did not see much of a selection at the online Playstation store.

Thanks for your input,

Doug

It`s just a matter of doing the maths on how heavy is your media by example:

Your average picture x how many pictures you want to hold

Your average song x how many do you need to keep you entertained

In the movies department i can help you, i got The End Of Evangelion movie, it`s 649 MB and lasts over an hour and half i think, and it`s DVD Quality i`ll check it out after my PSP is done downloading something from the PSN Store, i`ll come back,

So to give you an idea of how much entertainment it holds well, i have over 500 pictures, like 60 Songs, about 20 short videos, 1 Movie, over 10 demos and it had left like 2 Gigs, but i`ll check out in a few moments.

OK after some movements it ended up like this:

Pictures about 500

Music: 60 Tracks ( just my favorite ones)

Movies And Video : 19 Short videos and 1 Movie ( 1:25, 650 MB) about 2 Hours of video total.

Games/Demos: 20 Demos, some are heavy, like 400 MB, some very light, like 40 MB

I still have left like 700 MB, not too bad for my Need, i keep in mind that my PSP is mainly for Gaming.

Awesome ... Thanks for you information!

I believe that the PSP may be a perfect little travel buddy for me (games + video + music).

Yeah, i don`t go nowhere without it.

Forgot to add that my Memory Stick was also 4GB, but i guess you figured it out.

I`m gonna have to travel a lot now that i`m moving to another city, so PSP will continue to be my best travel buddy

Here's an idea for you. I was in the same dilema you were but wanted to play games too besides listen to music.

So I got a PSP and a 4Gig...

I currently have 1600+ songs in my PSP (atrac3 format) with 1.7Gigs left. I have Patapon, my game saves, some wallpapers and skins on it too.
