Question about Street Fighter 4...

I got the game, and I have a 20" tv.
Yea I know, I'm not getting a bigger tv till around mMarch (hopefully a 42")

The font is so small that I think I activiated something on the game that makes me join online battles randomly when I'm doing arcade mode.
How can I stop that?

It started getting on my nerves when I was on the last round of a arcade fight then out of no where NEW WARRIOR..... then it makes me play the person who ever found me online. But when I finish fighting that person it makes me start all over again on the person I was fighting on arcade.

Can anyone help me?
I don't want to have to unplug my internet from my PS3.

Also, I thought Street Fighter 4 had rumble with it.

when your in the main menu press R1 ... and there you can turn off the fight request thing. And you have to go to options and turn rumble on.
