I can't recall how I got this information but I heard that you can play games from the PS3 with the PS Vita and vice versa. Is this true?

Only games that have been developed to run on both PS Vita and PS3. So in other words future titles may run on both. But PS Vita is by no means backwards compatible with old PS3 games. Can't say I like the idea of playing PS3 games on the PS Vita on the go over actually having proper new exclusives games for it.

Plus, they'd have to be avaliable on the PS Store. So no Ar Tonelico Qoga and Final Fantasy for me and no Killzone or Call of Duty for you! (On the Vita, that is)

You won't be able to play PS3 games technically, only Vita games that work on the PS3 like Ruin.

So what you're saying is only a few games can be backwards compatible and not all.
