Do I really have to do two ultra finishers to unlock gouken? I've already unlocked akuma so I need only to unlock gouken, so please inform me what i have to do.
I still haven't unlocked Gouken but from what I've heard you need to perform 3 perfects and 2 ultra-finishes with no continues, or perhaps it was the other way around?
Make sure you beat the game with all other characters first though, and setting the game to easiest and 1 round will work as far as I know.

That is correct, but I'm not sure you have to play as Ryu to unlock Gouken. You can play with anyone you've beaten the game with already. I think Ryu is just suggested since his Ultra move is relatively simple to execute.
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have got gouken and you do not have to play as ryu to get him. All you have to do is after you get akuma, play the arcade again with someone you have already beaten arcade with. In this new arcade game, with someone you have already beaten it with, you need 1 and I mean 1 perfect round and 3 ultra combo finishers. Simple as that. If you put it on easiest, 1 round, 30 second matches it is not problem to unlock him.
Its not 2 perfects and 3 ultimate finishes but 1 perfect and 3 ultras.I can garanti you that.I got him exactly that way (1 round fights, i think it matters).Just do the 1st match perfect,the 2nd 3th and 4th whit ultimate finishes and from that point DO NOT do anymore perfects or ultimates or he wont chalage you.
Don't forget to finish the game whit Akuma 1st tho or you'll just fight Gouken but not unlock him.I did that 2 times before i realised i need to finish arcade whit Akuma 1st :P
Oh and btw it does't matter how you defeat Gouken, no need of perfects or ultras there.

Before calling me a liar read my post better... I said you need to finish arcade with acuma but not that you'll fight gouken on that playthrought.Finish the game whit akuma, then start a new game and do 1 perfect and 3 ultimates.Kk?

Yes, but according to Capcom, it's either 3 ultra finishes or super finishes (although I never got my super meter full in a 1 round match) and you also need 5 first strike. I can only assume Capcom has it correct, I did it with 1 perfect, 6 or 7 first strikes and about 5 ultra finishes using Chun-Li.

But I had to beat him two times with no success before (THANKS TO GAMESPOT) :) I figured out I hadn't beat the game with Akuma yet. I was using the 'secret access' section of the April 2009 copy of Game Informer as a guide...but did it mention the Akuma part? Hell no! Stupid mag!
