question about upscalling! please read

ok my tv only has component ... and i know it will only upscalle dvd with an hdmi cable, but is this the same for games too ??????

yeah it will upconvert games fine and DVD is not HDMI only its only Copyprotected dvds that cant upscale threw anything but hdmi

Yeah, but 99% of the DVDs most people watch are copy protected.  Plus, your HDTV already has to upscale DVDs.  You probably wouldn't even notice a difference.  I know I didn't.

Yeah, but 99% of the DVDs most people watch are copy protected. Plus, your HDTV already has to upscale DVDs. You probably wouldn't even notice a difference. I know I didn't.

 

Well I have a 1080p TV and I noticed a HUGE difference.

Your TV probably doesn't have a very good internal scaler then.  So, it is beneficial for you.
