Hey guys, my launch 60gb got YLOD yesterday. Not a big deal, I figure it had a good life. Now heres my question; Do you think I should get a new PS3 slim or send this one in to get fixed? On the one hand, i really like the BC on the 60gb, however, i still do have a ps2 and ps1 that work. On the other hand, I'm really concerned with the idea of getting a refurbished model with only a 90 day warranty.

So I guess the real question is this; do you think its better to pay 150 for a "refurbished" model or just cough up the 300 and get a nice new slim?

(BTW: anyone know how to get a game out of a ylod ps3??? lol)

well its matter of dollars obviously. If money is no object, then get a new ps3. If money is tight, get the refurb. When mine went the way of the dodo, i got a refurb. I think the slim is hideous, but thats me.

send in that YLOD ps3 in to get fixeds because you cant get any money back from your stuffed ps3 if you get the slim.
