questions about LBP

the game is very likable, but besides that.. what makes it this popular?

i'm really interested in the game, but i'm not sure the gameplay won't seem repetitive.. i use "seem" because from what i understand, there're tons of different ways of playing the game.. so yeah, what do you guys think?

and lastly, can someone who've played the beta(or basically just someone who knows) tell me how the creation things work? i'm really interested on what you can do in the game..

Me too, it looks cool, but nobody has really told us in depth what it is about. I know you can create levels and the goal is to get to the end of the level. But is that it? Is that all you can do? Because I dont think that alone is worth 60 bucks.......

Is that it? Wouldnt it get a little old after awhile? I like experimenting in my games, but there's gotta be good gameplay and depth in the game as well.....
