I am planning on getting a PS3 in October and I was wondering, on the Playstation network how much does DLC usually run in terms of game add ons (for example Singstar or Smackdown vs Raw) and how much do the arcade games run

Thanks for any help

DLC is overpriced, much as it is on every console.

PSN games run anywhere from 5.99 to 19.99, although most are either 9.99 or 14.99.

singstar dlc is $1.50 per song. Some see it as overpriced. Some see it as just right. So I don't know...

As per what everyone here said, some is relatively cheap a la Rock Band / Guitar Hero DLC for $1.99. Some is slightly more expensive at $4.99 or a little higher as with a lot of classic games. The $10 and up bracket is reserved for more exclusive and otherwise new games (usually $10 or $15). The most expensive things I've seen for download (other than full movies) are games like Wipeout HD ($20 + $10 for the recent add-on DLC) and Siren: Blood Curse (currently $40 for all 12 episodes).

It uses actual prices, so you don't have to worry about converting the price in your head. Add-ons usually run from $2-20. Full games run from $5 to $50 (PSone classics, Full retail PS3 games, and downloadable games only).

I think the most expensive game I have seen on PSN was Warhawk which was $39.95. But they can be as low as $4.99 for some arcade games. There are also all kinds of add-ons that vary in price from $.99 and up. There really isn't a way of knowing how much a game or add-on is going to cost until it releases.

but everyone FORGOT to mention that SONY does have 'sales' from time to time. There's always a 'spring cleaning', 'summer deal', 'holiday special' or 'random special' full with discount prices on many downloadable games.

I bought Brain Challenge for only $5! plus the add-on for $3. Also, they had 'Rag Doll Kung-Fu' for FREE for a limited time. There's always a DEAL goin' on on the PSN from time to time. Im sure you wont find the SingStar Bundles to be expensive, WWE doesnt have many DLC.
