hey, I'm going to get the pspgo and im thinking about buying external memory.

Now, the on board 16gb (14gb in real terms) in the pspgo is plenty, however, im also going to put all my music on the go as well (which is 9gb).

Now with your experience, i have a couple questions:

1) Where is the best/cheapest place to buy memory cards, in this case M2?

2) With you experience, is 8gb enough external or should i get the more heavily priced 16gb?

3) Whats your opinion on the psp as a mp3 player. Is it good and sufficient?

Thanks for all the help!

Hmm, I'm not that big of a fan of the PSP as a MP3 player, but that's just me. I personally like tokeep the music and videos on my Ipod. For me, I'd much rather get the more expensive 16gbespecially if you're planning on uploading music to it. As for a cheap place to find 'em, I think the prices are pretty much the same everywhere unless you can find a trustworthy website to buy one from. But add shipping and whatnot, it would probably be cheaper to get one at a store. Hmmm, I say try BestBuy...

I buy my memory cards online, specifically from amazon, but any big/ well known stores are good just search around for a good deal.

As your music collection is 9GB, if i were you i would opt for a 16GB M2. Sony will be putting the older PSP titles (which are now only on UMD) on PSN, wherequite a few games are around 1GB or more, so a 16GB would be nice :)

I usually go for highest capacity whether I need it all or not. That's just me. Since you're already going to be using so much of that space for your music, I see having a large memory card necessary. But a $250 PSP Go + expensive memory card will hurt your pocket book or purse pretty heavily. I'd buy the Go and wait on the card, but when you do get one, get the highest capacity you can find.

i suggest getting the psp go and deleting whatever music you don't like so it doesn't take so much space, and if you absolutely have to have external memory go for the highest cheapest ones, you can get two 4 gigs at wal-mart for like $5 less than if you got just 1 8 gig. deals like that are the best for you

Yes, but for 5 more dollars you don't have to keep up with a small memory card.

I think that unless youre an audiophile then the mp3 player on a psp or psp go is adequate. Im going to get a 16 gb m2 but more than likely around xmas. So if i were you I would get a 16 too so you have enough for music and video.

oh no! The thing is, i sorta am an audiophile when i comes to certain things. For example, my Radiohead stuff is all encoded at 312kbps. But i thought that, since its a digital file, the audio quality would remain the same (using headphones), regardless of the player itself?
