Yeah I know it is pretty annoying where there is a group of guys talking amongst themselves and disturbing others with loud cursing. I, personally, have not seen an option to mute other players, developers need to make one if there isn't a mute option.
There is an option, but it takes a while to do and sometimes doesnt even work properly. You need to push start and then select them in the screen where it shows everyone in your squad and then it shows their player card and you can select block. This will mute them, but it takes a while to do and sometimes doesnt even work. Hopefully thats something they fix when the game is released.
The only players you can block are the ones in your squad, which is pretty straight forward. But people are showing up on my screen spouting nonsense that are not in my squad at all. So who are these people? I assumed people in other squads.
Or, it could have been a commander maybe? Someone who can talk to both squads? And I'm guessing that its impossible to mute him.

Platoon Leaders and OIC can speak on other channels, but you cannot mute them. It'll be rare you that you'll hear them talking, but if it isn't, then there's something wrong. If you press UP on the D-pad, there's some options.
