5. What model do you have and how long have you had it? 40 gig for about a year and 8 days (I got it on Nov 9th)
6. How often do you play in a given week? A long time

7. Are you meticulous about how you handle your discs? (i.e. no fingerprints, scratches) Not that much
8. Do you think your console has ever been bricked by a particular game? No
9. How often do you clean your system for dust and things like that? When It gets too dusty
10. Do you download PSN games? And if so, how often do you play them?      Not many  I play em till I beat em

6. How often do you play in a given week? It differs, maybe around 10 hrs though

7. Are you meticulous about how you handle your discs? (i.e. no fingerprints, scratches)  Very, only pick it up with the hole

8. Do you think your console has ever been bricked by a particular game? Nope

9. How often do you clean your system for dust and things like that? Every now and then i'll swipe it down

10. Do you download PSN games? And if so, how often do you play them? I got PAIN and SSHD, hardly ever play either

1. Have you ever had the Disc Read Error? - Yes. With my 60GB console (which I sold 2 buy a 40GB).
2. How many times have you sent console to Sony for ANY reason? - Once. Disk failure.
3. How much breathing room does your PS3 have on all sides? (i.e. 1 foot, 6 inches, etc.)- About 1 foot.
4. Has your system ever locked up to where it wouldn't respond to the PS button?- Not that I can remember.
5. What model do you have and how long have you had it?- 40GB. Owned it since March this year.
6. How often do you play in a given week? - Between 5-10 hours.
7. Are you meticulous about how you handle your discs? (i.e. no fingerprints, scratches)- Yes. Although the disks are hard to mark.
8. Do you think your console has ever been bricked by a particular game?- Nope.
9. How often do you clean your system for dust and things like that? - Once a week with my LCD TV cloth.
10. Do you download PSN games? And if so, how often do you play them?- Yes. I downloaded the Crash Bandicoot games. I play them a few times a week. I want Crash Bandicoot 2 Sony!!!

I'd say data just to be more scientific, but it's not true.

I'm just trying to see if there's a correlation between how people take care of their PS3's and disc read error :)

1. Have you ever had the Disc Read Error? No but my Mirror's Edge is the only game that has ever froze on me. 
2. How many times have you sent console to Sony for ANY reason? No
3. How much breathing room does your PS3 have on all sides? (i.e. 1 foot, 6 inches, etc.) 2 feet
4. Has your system ever locked up to where it wouldn't respond to the PS button? If you mean freeze then yes, but Mirror's Edge is glitched at this certain part on Chapter 6. Happened 13 times already...
5. What model do you have and how long have you had it? 20GB Launch and then upgraded to 160GB
6. How often do you play in a given week? Alot... like 20 hours?
7. Are you meticulous about how you handle your discs? (i.e. no fingerprints, scratches) YES! VERY!
8. Do you think your console has ever been bricked by a particular game? I don't know what bricked means... Like does it not turn on after a specific game? If so, no.
9. How often do you clean your system for dust and things like that? Once a day or every other day if i forget.
10. Do you download PSN games? And if so, how often do you play them? I have only downloaded Q4B and Bionic Commando Rearmed. I played Q4B 4 times and BCR once because it was so hard.

1. No Never
2. Never sent any SONY console in that includes my PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 (all of which still work)
3. atleast 30cm per side with vents, 10 cm on the side without vents.
4. Yes 4 times now. 2x during enchant arms, 1x during LBP and 1x Ninja Gaiden Sigma
5. A 60gb PS3 i got it at the Australian launch (24th march)
6. Depends -- if i have a new game up to 6 hours a day till i get bored of it. Otherwise maybe 10 - 20 hours per week.
7. No figerprints on my disks -- only touch the edge of the disk to prevent this.

9. I clean it for dust when its dusty enough, which is usally once every few weeks. Also no one but me touches the thing -- and i only touch it to clean it or if it freezes. (controller to turn on and off and eject disk.)
10. Yes i have downloaded 9 PSN games. I used to play them alot but once you play them for 15 - 20 hours you begin to want a break ... so you start playing disk based games.

2. Once because something was wrong with the Blu-Ray player. It would show games, and movies incredibly bright for some reason if they were on Blu-Ray. While PS2 games, and downloadable titles looked fine. Don't know what the issue was but they fixed it :)

3. How much breathing room does your PS3 have on all sides? (i.e. 1 foot, 6 inches, etc.)At least a solid foot from the back of the console. Mine's set up vertically, so all the way to the ceiling on the side. The bottom (when placed horizontally) has about 2 inches from a wall.

9. How often do you clean your system for dust and things like that? Haven't done so yet, but it's not used THAT often. Only about every other weekend when I'm home. I also cover all vents when I turn it off so dust doesn't get in when it's not on.
10. Do you download PSN games? And if so, how often do you play them?I've gotten a few. Most ofmy downloads are generally demos but there are a few exceptions. They're usually a little more on the casual side, so I don't usually play them unless I'm really, really bored with the PS3 games I'm getting through, and the fair amount of PS2 games that I missed out on last generation. (proud Gamecube owner. lol)

4. Yes. 4 times. Twice in GTAI IV. Other times in Warhawk.
5. I got the PAL 60GB PS3 and got it on the european launch date.
