Is it ok to charge the PS3 controller using a phone charger through the wall jack? I didn't want to go ahead and do it because I'm not so sure if it'd wreck my controller...so can anyone say, with a 100% confidence, that its ok to do so?

AFAIK if it is USB standard it should be fine. Try to charge your phone with the sixaxis charger and see if it blows up, if not, it might work the other way ;)

I've actually charged my phone through the PS3 before but I don't think that means much...the PS3 might be pushing out less voltage to charge the phone and the worse that could happen is the phone charges slower than usual...but what if the phone charger lets out more voltage than the controller can handle...maybe my controller will blow up :P.

USB standard is 5V DC no more no less. Everything charges at 5V DC when running via a USB cable. So it's safe. 5v Dc is not enough to blow up anything, your pinky toe generate more than 5v DC, so relax.
