So, a friend of mine just sold me a brand new copy ofWKC (don't ask don't tell) for $25. I won't be playing it for a while, I'm on FFXIII and I got GoW 1-3 to play then Disgaea 3 before it. Was it money well spent?

I think it's a great deal. God, gotta buy that game someday.Leon_Kennedy1I was always planning on getting it "someday" I opted to get FFXIII instead.
how long will it take you to actually play the game then? So, a friend of mine just sold me a brand new copy ofWKC (don't ask don't tell) for $25. I won't be playing it for a while, I'm on FFXIII and I got GoW 1-3 to play then Disgaea 3 before it. Was it money well spent?

how long will it take you to actually play the game then? IDK no more that 2 months(I'm pretty good at games so it don't take me long to beat them) I'm busy with school and I plan to get a job after this semester is over.^^ then you did good, because in two months time the game will probably still sell for no less than $40.azzezinoYeah I was already planning to get it when the price dropped
Definitely. At first the game starts slowly and pours heaps of infomation at you in a short time to grasp (like all Level 5 games). But once you know what you're doing, it is a truly fun addictive game :) So don't let the beginning turn you off. I cannot wait for WKC 2 :)
I figured out the mechanics quite early. I thought the single player story was pretty lackluster for a level 5 game. The main character was rather dull. The online was well.........it gets old quick.
Just don't expect a 5 year old game from japan to be like Dark Cloud.
Good buy though.
Great buy in terms of price vs. utility. The game is pretty fun, but the battles are way too easy and pretty slow. Creating your own combos is fun, though, and gives you huge freedom in that regard. I knew not to believe in the reviews giving it 5's, as imo it's a solid 7, possible 6.5 as well. The story is all over the place and you really won't care much for the characters but it's still a solid RPG and since there are so very few on the PS3, I'm sure that also helped drive lots of its sales as well.
Doubt I will purchase WCK2 though as better RPGs will surface by the time it comes out. It's too bad, though, because it definitely had potential.
OK so I lied... I ended up playing this game for the better part of today(couldn't help it). I can't recommend this game enough. I absolutely love it. This is the definitive jrpg. FFXIII is pretty and has great music and great voice acting and its a good game but its not an rpg. WKC is the jrpg I've been looking for I'm really impressed with the character creation also(I spent about 3 hours making mine) I love how you can walk right into shops seamlessly. I'm 27 hours into FFXII but it will be taking a back seat for now. The reviewers(which turned me off of it) got this way wrong.25 bucks for WKC is a great price. I'd say it's worth at most 40 bucks, so getting it for 25 is better than just right. It's a solid game, just one that fell short of expectations and didn't deliver in many areas.
