It was a good day at the re-sale cut-out bin! I got "Patapon" for $15 and I'm loving that, though I'm not into music games generally but the demo for P2 got me interested... and I found a copy of "Amplitude" for my roommate who had been expressing remorse lately for selling the game, and I got "OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath" for $8...

In addition Ipicked up a copy of "WipeOut Pure"as wellbecause I spotted a copy for $6 which seems cheap to me (no case or manual of course) - I couldn't remember which of the two came first but I don't have either, so I figured for the price it'll at least be ok... and the game rocks, was made in 2005, and I'm just now getting around to it... how can anyone say the PSP is dead when there are nuggets like this which I'm sure not everyone has or has played through...

... anyway, it's great likeI knew it would be, and tough too, but not astough as I had found the tracks of "WipeOut 3", I can actually figure out a line. This game is a lot of fun, and when I'm done then "Pulse" will be $6...

Long live the PSP!

Remember, you've got a whole boatload of DLC for Pure that you can access. Practically doubles the content of the game. I got my copy for $15. Satisfies my Wipeout needs. :)

And also, it really seems like the PSP is on an upswing. The forecast for releases looks heavy with really promising titles. Personally, I'm very excited about LBP PSP because that was one game that I wish I had a PS3 for. Now that it's coming to the PSP and I know my Wifi works, I'll be able to be all into the level sharing/downloading thing.

I got that game free from a friend. Besides Final Fantasy, it was the best game I had for th PSP.But only game I'm looking forward to getting is Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. The graphics on the PSP makes ita popular handheld, and since their notmaking another handheld like it for now, they'll still make games for it, and the PSP will not "die"for another 2-3 years.

All hail the bargain bin!

A good backlog of games is what makes a system great imo. It's all about those titles you may have missed, or that just slipped under the radar at the time.

Think I discovered Pure the same way. A dirty little box at the bottom of the shelf, and for the price of a Subway meal combo, you've got yourself weeks of guilt free gaming..

I believe wipeout pure is ranked nº1 or nº2 all time best psp game based on metacritic site.

I actually tried to find a copy but being a 2005 game I can't find it in shops. I saw it on psn, but it costs 20 €, I wonder why they never put some older games witha discount in there, after all a digital game is not the same as an UMD.

Oh wow that's odd. I see used copies of it at almost every game store around lol. I bought this last summer for about $10. Great, cheap game.

Try playing Lumines & you'll find out what "coke" is for the PSP.

Yeah, my ex was really into "Lumines", beat the game like a stepchild... I'm not a puzzler... I liked "Tetris" on the DS but generally I don't go in for games like "Lumines" (column games) or "Patapon" - but in P's case I just love the art style and how the little eyeballs worship you by name, it's got a ton of personality and that, like "Katamari", is what's keeping me on it.

"WipeOut Pure" is a lot of fun, and yes it'll take me into October and "Gran Turismo PSP" as stated above, couldn't agree more. The Download part of the program seems to be a bit messed up though, it keeps freezing the screen when I try to connect. Perhaps this part of the game is taken down since it's probably not a high-demand thing if it ever was...

... but still, what's here for $6 is amazingly good... my fav class is the A.G. Systems ride so far. It's like old-game week here in the house... my roommate playing "Amplitude" (who needs plastic guitars? Real Men play with shoulder buttons) again and "WipeOut"... all we need is some 24hour "Resident Evil" sessions and I'm trippin all the way back to the turn of the century!
