Now I own and have played through the First Resistance game and my brother and I loved how we could play two player Co Op on the story Campain, however I bought R2 and I am trying to find a way to play two player Co Op on the story mode but it doesn't seem to work for two players and on the box is says 1-2 players. I am hoping that Sony didn't make the mistake of putting in two player story mode in the first and take it out for the second one because that would make gamers like my bro and I very P od! Can somebody please clarify this.

Campaign is single-player only. Co-op is a separate mode entirely.

Th 2 player co-op is a different story line from the single player campaign. The campaign is purely for one player.

Well thanks for clarifing that for me, I am pretty damn dissapointed that Sony did this, did they give a reason to why they chose not to do Co Op story unlike the 1st one? I have 4 controllers and I have a hard time finding a game that has good 2 player Co Op and now the big Sony Killer APP is not even two player. Anyways thanks for letting me know and I too am Canadian!

It's more Insomiac not Sony .. I do not know why they took it out .. maybe thought all the GOOD co-op stuff they added would be enough .. they will fix this for R3 .. oh they will ..

And it's great to be Canadian!  ;)

I honestly enjoy the co-op campaign more than sharing the single player campaign with someone else. Story wise it makes more sense too.

I'm sure there is an uproar about it .. and unlike most devs, Insomniac will listen ..

Its funny because when R:fom came out, one of the big complaints was that there was no online co-op but it had offline. Now when R2 comes out, we get an amazing online co-op and people complain that there is no offline co-op:lol:

Exactly!!! Maybe not every PS3 owner can hook up to the internet (such as myself because my 50 IN HD TV is two floors down from where my computer room is) that being said if it isn't broken don't fix it. And BTW rsoxguy12 the online co op mode is not the story mode so there is a difference. If I could get my PS3 online I most likly been less pissed but hopfully fans can get some pention going for R3 to put story mode co op back in and possably 4 player offline co op story.

Well in many interviews Ted Pirice (President of Insomniac Games) said that the story was mean't to centre on Nathan Hale, not another character. He said the levels and story wouldn't work and mix with co-op. They won't have a co-op campaign in R3, they took it out because the story is about Nathan Hale. If you think about it, like the first, the story wouldn't work with it.

I always play the game through on my own .. plus even when playing co-op I still realize that the game is based around Hale .. when I played R1 I didn't forget that .. sounds like a crappy excuse ..

That shouldn't matter, in the first game you could play co op story and the cut scenes didn't have the black guy in it. To futher prove my point that it shouldn't matter about the story set on only Nathan Hale, other games such as Perfect Dark,Halo have a single player campain based on one character yet allowing co op. So I don't see your point.

I'm so confused now. I don't own the game, but I'd planned to get it. Is there no splitscreen mode then? I was hoping to be able to play through some kind of co-op mode on one console. Is this not included, offline that is? I keep reading that there is and now that there isn't a co-op mode. The box should somehow clarify this.

What I was trying to say wasn't much of a point for me, I was telling people what made Insomniac take it out of the campaign. It's not my excuse, I didn't make the game, nor am I trying to defend it. Without this getting into a fight I was just telling you why they took it out. But it is a good point, luckily they put in that Co-op campaign otherwise people would probably have some serious issues with Insomniac.

Sorry I didn't mean to lash out on you I was lashing out on Ted pirice just because his reason is unexcusable because like I said before games like Perfect Darks Joanna and Halo's Master Cheif are based on a solo storyline yet Co Op exists. I didn't intend on fighting but thank you for letting me know what the reason was.

Fact: There is a Co Op split screen game on R2 you can play with a friend but it is not the same story campain you get on single player. In my opnion it is not as fun as the story campain would be if it was splitscreen.
