Doesn't your TV remote have some kind of button, such as info or something, that would tell you what resolution it is currently running? Then at least you would know if it is in fact defaulting to 480i.
I wish it did.. and I cannot unselect 480i from the options on the ps3..
dangit.. i should have rented it first..
I have a 37" Sharp Aquos (2006 model), and the game looks fine in 720p. I have my PS3 set to 720p because I do not like the shutterblind effect of interlaced video.

yeh it looks great in 720p but i d like to keep my ps3 set up on 1080p insted of playing back and forth with the display settings everytime i wanna play RB6V
that blows.. it does say on the back that it supports 1080i.. but it looks like garbage.. 720p does look ok.. but on the back of the box, it shows some pretty amazing screenshots and my game looks no where near like those screenshots..spliffchillum
your damn right about that

I have my PS3 set to 1080i.. I've played most of my games perfectly fine.. I get r6v that says it supports 1080i and for some reason it looks like crap.. the games text are fuzzy and look like its 480i.. I set it to 720p and the fuzzyness goes away but I get blockyness, like it's not doing any anti aliasing.. anyways.. anyone else play in 1080i and it looks good?spliffchillum
1080i is working fine for me no problem

My game is running in 1080p which according to the box is not even a supported resolution. So my question is, am I missing out by keeping it in 1080p or is it just 1080i thats broken?
