I have my PS3 set to 1080i.. I've played most of my games perfectly fine.. I get r6v that says it supports 1080i and for some reason it looks like crap.. the games text are fuzzy and look like its 480i.. I set it to 720p and the fuzzyness goes away but I get blockyness, like it's not doing any anti aliasing.. anyways.. anyone else play in 1080i and it looks good?
that blows.. it does say on the back that it supports 1080i.. but it looks like garbage.. 720p does look ok.. but on the back of the box, it shows some pretty amazing screenshots and my game looks no where near like those screenshots..

I think somethings wrong on my system.. Iam playing in 720p now, and I am not seeing the "crisp and clean" look everyone is clammoring.. it looks like I'm playing a ps2 game.. blurry as heck and no anti aliasing.. I think it's defaulting to 480i ifor some reason..
monster hdmi cables.. it honestly looks like a ps2 game.. i think some how the game is defaulting to 480i.. the text is huge, the buildings have almost no detail to them and everything is fuzzy..
Doesn't your TV remote have some kind of button, such as info or something,that would tell you what resolution it is currently running? Then at least you would know if it is in fact defaulting to 480i.
anyone knows if they r going to come out with a patch to fix the 1080i/p issue for RB6 Vegas? I m tired of reseting the resolution from 1080p to 720p everytime i wanna play it :( still a great game tho
I hope they do.. I've been waiting for this game for a while, and my boss said it's an excellent game on the 360.. one of the best.. let's hope they fix it!

When you are in the XMB and the cd loads the image for the background from the CD, why doesnt the game look like that? that looks CRISP and clean like resistance.. this game looks fuzzy and you cant see any detail to anything..

I don't have the option of 1080p. For 37", I don't need 1080p.  My TV does 720p and 1080i.  Therefore, I just keep the PS3 marked on 480 (NTSC) and 720p all the time. For you, since you can display in 1080p, why don't you check all resolutions on the PS3 except 1080i? That way it should downgrade automatically to 720p instead of 1080i.
