I can tell you from my point of view. If I see a game being hosted, and only 1 person is in there, I move on to another match. I don't want to sit around for 15 minutes waiting for other people to join. I usually join matches that are close to their maximum number of players, because I know the match will start soon.

How do you do that? As dont you just press "find game" and it throws you in to a random one?

in the 360 version, you can search for custom matches. say like, if I only wanted to play a team deathmatch game, I can search for only that type of match, and it will give me all of the games that match. is that not available in the PS3's version? I would have assumed that the online interface would have been the same.

yes the option is there to select your match type, although following that it will join a random match of that type. the option to leave is there though if there isnt many people around.

probably the best way to find more players is to "find game" rather than "create" one.. (just from my experience)

no on the ps3, its CRAP. no lobby, pretty lame for a so called next gen game, on a next-gen system.

no lobby? you mean you can't talk to the other people that are sitting their waiting to play the match?

I hope this makes people look toward renting UbiSoft games instead of buying them.

We have a lobby. What happens is you choose your match type and map if you want (you can choose 'any' option) and then it randomly finds a game for you and throws you into the games lobby (unless game is in progress already in which it gives u option to join). It's like halo set up. But we're (ps2/ps3 users) are used to the socom interface where we can choose which lobby we join.

I am fine with not being able to choose with lobby, but there atleast needs to be a lobby where you can chat with the other players until the game starts.

No no , there is a lobby while your in map loads, or say if the game hasnt started yet and you can all talk in there. The only option that isnt in the ps3 verison is to search for a custom match which I hope comes in an update!

there is a lobby but you dont choose to join it, it automatically throws you in a random lobby. you cant search and find certain lobbies, thats what i meant.

ahhaha the only fanboy i see here is you. fanboys always defending every chance they get. what i said is the TRUTH. you cant find certain lobbies/host. you can only pick game type, and map, then it randomly connects you to a random host.

i own both systems, so a fanboy i am not, im a CONSUMER.

am i here defending anything? am i here to defend the 360? no, im only stating my reasons why the online system for rv6 on the ps3 is annoying. SORRY but you are WRONG the 2 interfaces are NOTHING ALIKE. on the other system you can actually look for what rooms you want to join. i dont want to get into it, because then im called a fanboy or troll.

anyways do you own a 360? im mean you talking about how the 2 interfaces are so similiar.

if the only difference between the two is that you can't choose which lobby you want to join, then I would say that they are similar. I have seen the 360's version, but not the PS3's version, so that's why I said "if".
