I've been wondering lately on what's the Ps3's best racer. I want to buy one but I want the racing to be really good as well as it having alot of customization for the cars. I narrowed it down to Grid,NFS Shift, and NFS Undercover but if theres any thats better let me know.

How's the racing? I've heard the cars are kind of hard to control.

Midnight club has lots of customization but I did not like the way the cars feel. I prefer the more realistic games like Gran Turismo or Forza though so you might like Midnight Club. It's a matter of opinion.

i can get pretty difficult at times but that's mostly because of the traffic, if you learn to dodge it then the game isn't that hard and no the cars aren't hard to control and also if you like cop chases then don't expect much here because the cops is really annoying in this game

Don't get NFS Undercover - not a good racing game at all.

I personally think NFS Shift is brilliant.

Midnight Club LA has plenty of customisation but is HARD. Cars handle ok but the AI is very unforgiving!

I'm inclined to say NFS Shift is my favorite racer on the PS3 at the moment. The customization is quite good, though not the best. But the actual career mode and car selection is my favorite of them all. Not to mention the excellent sense of speed.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles ftwkweeni

^ yeah its awesome :). Seriously, i'd go with midnight club la, the cars handle fine, the controls are very responsive so you will learn soon enough how to dodge through the traffic and what not. The races can be hard, but i'll give you a tip, if you do lots of drag races on the highways then its a much easier way to earn money and rep. I've reviewed it on my page, so if you like take a look at what i said about it ^^

Midnight Club LA.

And don't listen to what other people are saying... the game isn't even hard. The reviews say there's rubber banding A.I. when in reality, they just suck. Midnight Club II was hard... Midnight Club LA was not hard. I was actually disappointed with how easy MCLA is in comparison to MCII.

Wide open Los Angeles roads with a bit of traffic 120+ MPH = not hard.

Back alleys of Tokyo at 120+ MPH = hard.

Roads full of traffic, with a car doing 180+mph is hard actually. Plus, the races arent actually that easy, if you screw up on hardest difficult it can be very difficult catching up. You need quick reflexes on this game

If you like Drifting games get Initial D Extreme Stage alot of customization there. Im still playing it just to upgrade all the cars that i love.

If they port AS5 thats the one to get for sure.

The thing that makes Midnight Club LA is that damned rubber band AI. You can't shake em no matter how good you drive, then if you f up one time you lose the race.

Burnout Paradise doesn't have much customization for their cars (all you can do is change the paint color) but it is an AMAZING game. It is the best racing game I have ever played, and I would advise you to go for that. Plus it has motorcycles, great online play, and it is open world.

Grid has no customization at all. Except paint.
