We all know Gamespot revamped their review system, so what will it score...
Keep in mind the 360 version got a 9.1

Ok considering the online multiplayer will be worse, there wont be achievments, and its almost 8 months after it came out on the 360. The PS3 version will get no more than an 8.5MecamattWhy would the multiplayer be worse and how do you know this for a fact? And achievements dont count towards a score. Does that mean ps3 games should get a bump because the online is free? I'd say a 9. Its as good if not better then any shooter on the ps3 and its still one of the most played games on Live.
I haven't played this game yet and I'm looking forward to it. The game is definitely not going to be a 8.0, that's just rediculous. This game is going to be awesome and with the extra features online I'd say it will be better than the 360 version. The only thing that might hold it back a little is the online servers from sony. I love the fact that its free and Resistence is the best online game as in servers and I hope this game has the same stability.
9.0

wait....how do you know the online will be worst? it's going to be exactly the same...with the PS3 getting more maps(I believe).

ps3 version is getting the 5 maps that are purchasable on xbox live as well as 5 ps3 exclusive maps pushing the total to 20 maps.
If any of you bothered to read gamespots hands-on, you'll read that they revamped the physics for the game (they state that stray bullets interacted with a lot more of the environment compared to the 360 version) which just shows that Ubisoft took the time to do it right. I'm not sure it'll be enough of a difference to kick it up to 9.5 but I could see it getting a 9.
Hmm it might get a 9 or higher because it features maps and stuff that people had to pay for on the 360.Luxen90
yah but its a port and the graphics comparison didnt help so it will likely be lower than a 9, .1 less would be a miracle from a xbox to ps3 port
well for the idiots that say the online will not be as good, PSN has no lag and its free + 20 total maps in stead of the 10 that came in 360's retail version. how is that not as good . theres also new modes. it will get either 8.5 or 9 with the new rating system. i think 9BackFlip101
Yesbut the problem is the lack of communication in PSN; have you played rainbow six vegas online? if you did youd realise how important online communication is via headsets, and most PS3 gamers dont use bluetooth headsets. And how do you know there wont be any lag?
[QUOTE="hama666"]Itll be good, probably best PS3 online game to date, but not as good as the 360s version.
8.0

where's the faith? i thought u guys believed in sony i know its a port but still
We do. It's Ubisoft we have had problems with. [whisper] They're LAZY.[/whisper]
8.5 because the online wouldnt be the same as on 360raylewisnfl52
....NOT ...Check what they say about this game on line.....and from what I undesrtood xboxlive is NOT NEEDED
"
"Online, Rainbow Six Vegas delivers an impressive suite of options. Indeed, you could almost be forgiven for thinking you were playing the 360 version on Xbox Live, and that's high praise. The persistent character development system of unlocks from the 360 is here, so as you play online you'll gradually gain access to more and more specialized weapons, armor, and other kit. Invites and messaging are also supported. "

They also said it looks kind of better on the ps3 BTW
8.3-8.7 is my guess.
The game got a 9.1 back when it first released on the other system.
This version looks the same, only with a few extra maps and modes, although it came out 7 months later.
And no, I'm not going according to the new rating system, as I won't be using that for a while.
see this why i hate thenew review system, what happens to a game that gets a 9.7 or a 9.8? does it get raised to a 10 or lowered to a 9.5? its certainlly better then a 9.5 so it shoudltn get lowered, and its certianlly not as good as a 10 so it shoudlnt be lowered, see gamespot do you see why the old system is needed?-DirtySanchez-
