Rainbow six vegas 2, just bought first hour impressions

Ok after the first hour i tried alot of things about the game so ill sum it up

Likes

- Character customization = win

- You get free xp and stuff if you have a rainbow six vegas 1 save

- More guns, and you have to work for them which makes the game last longer

- Amazing bloom effects

- Brilliant player models and detail

- Brilliant gun models/detail

- Coop is awesome

- Plenty of game modes

- NO FRAME RATE DROP

- When they kill you Terrorist say "Lemar Oscar Lemar" which translates to LOL , which is very funny when you figure it out.

Dislikes

- The worst textured vending machines in the history of video games, no seriously. (Maybe because i was playing coop, ill try single player and update if they still bad)

- Team AI sometimes a bit airheaded

Overall im really impressed with this game its very solid and the fram rate dosnt drop thats BS, online is great, although i lag EVERYGAME i go into, but i think that may be me.

But what stops this game from being a 10 is the absoloutly appaling textures on the vending machines and computer screens, they arnt even PS1 standard, no exageration.

Other than that small problem, everything else is pure eye candy, and there seems to be improved ragdoll and i can see the exp system really giving longevity to multiplayer and single player.

:D yea there are alot of times where you will say "cool!" or "hahah"

Especially when you take an M3 to a terrorist knees and they do the splits XD

To the guy above, ONLINE IS FINE, IT WAS JUST ME I RESTARTED MY ROUTER AND IT IS FINE.

So, basically, people who really enjoyed the first one and want the experience from the last to continue, only enhanced a bit should dig this game then, right? That is the impressions I am getting, so I am more than likely going to pick this game up.

not at all. i havent had one single problem with it.

The best smile, was as i already had Rainbow 1 save, it automaticly made a profile and said welcome back, Sam.

Also there are not just leveling up with exp there is leveling up in sniper, assault and Close combat (each unlock corrosponding wepaons)

And there are also like acheivments, i got one for completing rainbow six vegas 1, and another for killing all terrorists without deaths etc, them type of achievments.

this is pretty confusing..

some ppl: wow...NOTHING has change except sprint, graphics are just as bad..maybe a TINY bit better ..buggy framerate problems...oh wow...online sucks poop, soo laggy and i cant even join games most of the time..wow bs

some other ppl: graphics has improved quite a bit, NICE...not buggy except pop-ins here and there but its minor..online works great no lag...

i dont know who to belive X(

Belive me obviously, the graphics ARE improved, no bugs, no popin.

No popin and better graphics are probably because i have the PS3 version. (My opinion)

One of my friends bought it today to on the 360 i played at his first then bought mine, Ps3 looks a little better with better lighting effects.

But dont be put off if you have a 360, no , by all means get it if you have that the differences are minimal.

And a word of advice, i am from UK so our europe servers may differ from US or elsewhere servers. Maybe they have the problem, as i havnt yet :/

We both threw smoke infront of us AND i orderd my AI teammetes to do also, no slowdown, thankfully :D

I also ran in a smokey room (1 smoke) letting a 21E machine gun loose, no slowdown also.

Hehe but man this new exp and reward system is so good, really really good.

And theres SO many different camoflauges that you can apply to your character, i mean LOADS.

My guy has a balaclava, all heavy armour a sniper hat and pure black cammo.

How can you even rate this game above a 2.0 Everyone bought this game to play online, and you can even play online this is a horrible game. They just need to give everone refund and make new maps to download on vegas 1 and play that again vegas 1 is so much better than this slapped together gamedrew0896

I loved the original Vegas, so I have total confidence in Vegas 2, which I picked up today. I haven't played it yet, but as long as it's more of the same Vegas that I loved, combined with the great experience system, I'll surely love it.:Dnyc05

I don't get where people are saying that the game has framerate issue. It's not a great game but it's good. My number one concern was if the online would be stuttering like the first Vegas. I can happily say that the stuttering isn't there. The online was smooth from the couple of games I've played.

I agree with most of what the OP has said. I don't know too much about the vending machines, lol, but I don't even care much for that.

My only gripe so far is why on earth did they make the story mode co-op have just two players instead of four. Plus, only player 1 control the two bravo agents. Other than that, it's the same Vegas, which is a good thing, slightly improved in most areas.
