play both, but if you can only get one for now get ratchet and clank. It is a bit easy on the first play through which takes about 11-13 hours. Then you have the harder mode which you can earn extra armor and weapon uprgrades. Then you have skill points and golden bolts to earn and find in each level. All of this should take you 30 hours or more. The story still has the humor of past R and C games although it is a bit more serious than the others.
Uncharted is also very awsome but not quite as great as R and C. It looks great and it plays pretty well. It is also quite difficult. Most of the gameplay is gun fights with light puzzle solving. There are treasures to find along the way. You just walk over to the shiny sparkle and push triangle. You also have accomplisments which help you unlock cheats, such as mirror world and unlimited ammo and such. Collecting the treasures also goes toward the accomplisments. The game takes about 8 to 10 hours to complete the first time. There are multiple difficulties and it should take you more than once to get all the treasures and accomplishments. The only thing that is annoying about the game is that to earn the better cheats in the game could take you awhile. By the time you earn all the cheats you might not want to play the game again because you have already played it enough while trying to obtain the good cheats. I spent about 28-30 hours trying to get everything and then gave up. The crushing difficulty became annoying.
In short they are both great games that anyone who has a ps3 should not miss. In fact, they are games that no one should miss even if you don't have ps3.
Go with both of them. Doesn't really matter in what order you get them. They are both good, so they have to be a part of the collection...
On another note. It's funny to see how the people calling Ratchet & Clank games for "Kiddie Games" ... Only idiots who doesn't have the brains to beat the R&C games would call them that :lol:
